I'm really disappointed. Yesterday, my children and I went into hollister looking for a couple of things. My son has moved out of children's sizing and we were looking for what size he wears in men's. After trying on a few things we found that 26 was the right waist but 30 length was just the right length and, because he is growing, I wanted him to try the next length up but couldn't find it on the shelf. I went to the girls at the counter and asked, Do you carry 26x32? They looked at me and said, Whatever we carry is on the shelf. They didn't even try to find out for me if it was available online and they both have computers in front of them. These girls weren't even willing to look up the information or be knowledgeable about what they carry. So we were going to buy the 26x30 jeans because they said they were on sale for $29. She rings them up and they come up as $54.70. I told her there was a sign that said these jeans were $29. She said, Well sometimes the signs mean the shelf above or below so it can get really confusing. She didn't try to find out more information because this was clearly not her problem. So I walked back to where I got the jeans and saw the sign said black $29. I went back to the register and told her it doesn't say a specific shelf it says the color black and $29 so then she looks at someone else and says she says they're on sale but they're ringing up as full price. This guy walks out to the floor at least but then takes one look at the corner where I got the jeans from and says oh these are for straight only not slim straight. So I went to the counter and I said, I don't want these because they're not on sale and she told me again you're total is $54.70. I was so frustrated at this point because she couldn't be bothered to be helpful or pay attention to what I was saying. We ended up leaving and after I calmed down a bit I looked on their website and found black, slim straight jeans in size 26x30 for $29. This mall is 65 minutes away from my house, it's not like it's easy to run back up there and get them. It's just really sad that there is no intention of clear pricing or element of customer service. I won't be giving this...
Read moreI go into Hollister a few times a year. I have 4 teenagers. I went shopping on Feb. 20th, and not sure when I will go back. When I asked for a military discount, the employee looked at me like I was crazy for asking then asked the manager in charge. When I asked when they had changed their policy, she said Hollister had never given a military discount. I'm almost certain I received one every shopping experience last year 2015, probably 4 times. I understand some stores don't offer one, but first, don't look at me like I've grown a 2nd nose, secondly don't make an emphatic statement about store processes when you have worked their a short time and treat the customer poorly for a reasonable question, especially when your a manager in charge. I wish I had been treated better, Hollister has some very nice clothing, with designs my children enjoy. There is a lot of competition very close to be treated so poorly by...
