Imagine going into a place with your little sister and never have complained about the place but always come here and you get the most disrespectful waiter in the whole place. I have been going to this place since it opened and never have I ever had a problem with the food or the service but when me and my sister got done ordering we wanted to order food for our family at home and the waiter was great at the beginning but when we finished our food and ordered food for our family he became very rude, when asked what we wanted and told him what we wanted he continued to say and what else and people would think that really over dramatic of me but when I told him I would tell him when I’m done he continued to say and what else after every food I said, he also walked away and acted like he couldn’t hear me when he asked what else we wanted and I said yes he just walked away. I called out to him a couple of times and still didn’t come to us, when we got done paying the bill I wanted to give him a generous tip of $20 but when I went to go break my $100 he asked what I wanted and I said $100 back and I thought he was joking so I smiled but he said no how would you want it broken down and I said 20s are fine so he gave me 5 $20s and I was thinking okay so 5 $20s should I give him a $20 for tip still and as I was thinking he said “is your math okay”, and I gave him the $20 and he took it from my hand rudely and put it in the jar and as I was walking away he didn’t even let me get to the door before he started talking about me to his coworker saying “did you see what just happened she was confused because I have her 5 $20s and started laughing. I was very upset because half of the time I didn’t know that he was being rude and I thought he was joking. I understand that it might have been the end of his shift but I have worked shifts like that were I can’t wait to go home and I don’t want to deal with customers anymore but I still manage to finish out my day with the best service I can give because that’s what makes a good employee but from what I just had to deal with from the place that I love going to for my lunch or dinner I won’t be going back there...

People we know told us to give this place a try. I'm always happy to try restaurants I haven't been before. Got 2 ramens. We are about to start eating I found a long hair in my wifes soup. We told them they gave us another one, whatever no problem. I am less than half eating through mine, I wished I saw it before eating it. I found a 2 inch steel scrub piece in my freaking mouth. It scratched the top inside of my mouth. I was so mad because of that. What if I swallowed it, or one of my kids. I wanted to like this place so bad because it looks cool at least to me. The waitress said don't know how it got there. I explained exactly how it got there. I said I'm not looking for another new plate because I am mad now, and cannot trust this place anymore. I am never going there anymore. I am telling everyone I know about it. Cleanliness should be top priority in a restaurant. I haven't had this happen elsewhere. They say we were the only ones that had this problem happen. 2 people out of 2 people had a Cleanliness problem. Thats 100% of the chances. I dont want to think this was on purpose. I would now rather have instant microwave ramen instead, you know at least for sure, there won't be any hair or metal pieces in your food. I can't even eat elsewhere today. Ruined our meals and our mood. I regret coming here in the first place, having so many options around. I don't want a free plate or some kind of cupon or anything. First impression is everything. And this...

We've been twice in the past few weeks, once during their soft opening and once after their grand opening. The food is awesome! The first time we ordered the Char siu buns as an appetizer, they were really good. The pork was tender and the veggies complemented the pork so well. Sadly when ordering the char siu you only get one bun. We ordered 2 of them which equaled roughly the amount of the Korean bbq appetizer. Their boba tea is the bomb! I love the honey dew milk tea the most. The first time the honey dew milk tea had just the right amount of milk to tea ratio the second time there was a little too much milk but it was still good. My husband and I both ordered the ichiban ramen which by far is some of the best ramen we've had!

For the 2nd vist we tried the Korean bbq as an appetizer, and oh my goodness it was amazing! The spicy sweet bbq is so good. I ordered the katsu dan for a main dish. The egg had lots of flavor which made up for the chicken cutlet's lack of flavor. The miso that came with it was good but a tiny bit salty.

Both times the atmosphere was a bit noisy and crowded, but that is to be expected with a new and popular noodle shop! The wait staff is by far some of the best! Both times we has such sweet and attentive servers.

All in all it was very good. Ichiban will definitely be one of our...

Ichiban is probably my favorite place for ramen and boba. The food is always delish and their prices are so reasonable. My favorites are the black garlic ramen (pictured with an extra marinated egg 🤤) and the brown sugar milk tea with boba. Their Japanese crepe cakes, jalapeño poppers, and Birria ramen are definitely worth mentioning as well! For the second year in a row, they’ve also given out “VIP” cards, which offer their customers a free bowl of ramen each month for the year! Absolutely love this and always keeps me coming back to get my ramen fix. The restaurant itself is open seating. I like the environment. It’s very fast-casual and they stream anime on a few tvs. Music is always fun. Can be a bit noisy and crowded at lunch rush, but what place isn’t? The employees here are always lovely as well and very consistent for the industry. You just hardly see the same faces at a place, honestly, and I love that you see that here! I haven’t gotten all of their names, but they’re always very kind and will take good care of you. I really have no complaints and love this lil restaurant. I’m not gonna pretend I’m the most well versed in ramen or Asian cuisine outside of the area, but it’s my favorite place locally, hands down. Prices and promotions here are excellent and I highly recommend you give it a try if you haven’t!

I went to this place to as a result of wanting to eat something quick but not fast food. Now for a place like Tyler, it is an great place to have ramen. Food is done perfectly with ample portions and good prices to match. I had the Naruto Ramen (15.95) where I was looking for a larger serving to sate my appetite. I was not disappointed while having it. Noodles were firm with a good bite. The pork belly was done perfectly and very tender. Only thing was that the pork belly itself was just marinated in hosin sauce. That was the only thing that irked me. I added an extra egg (1.00) to my bowl. A whole egg which was nice. Some places only serve a you a half egg for the same price as this: Do not go to those places. Broth was thick and full of that slow cooked texture- is did lack unami though. I tried the birria bao (4.75 each). They were fine, just a little pricy for what you get in my opinion. Decor is fine. It is a nice way to spruce up a chopped up and converted old A-frame whatburger building. To summit up it is a solid resturant. If they would tweak and add a little complexity to their belly and their broth it would be a smash hit.
