Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Tyler

We love chick fil a but our recent experience at this particular mall location was just bizarre. 1/31/20 6:00pm. There were lots of staff, walking around and chatting with other patrons and passing messages back and forth to some of the workers. There was staff standing around and a lead came out twice and saw that there were over 15-20 people in line, but did not offer to help or give direction. The one girl who was working the register kept looking around as if she needed help and the workers who were cooking and bagging were swamped. After several minutes one other person apathetically walked up to work the register and took our order. He mumbled and seemed bothered. NO ONE said our pleasure and seemed bothered that they had to work rather than chat with the girls eating close to the counter, including the manager. The lead came out a third time and gave an aloof look around rather than assist at the register. This entire experience was very off for a chick fil a and this location actually seems higher priced. I recently ate at this Chick-fil-A, but was not given two of the items I ordered. I called the store as soon as I arrived at th3 place we were going to eat at. After I told the person on the phone what had happened, I was told that he had added a reward to my account rewards. After I checked my rewards, I noticed that I was actually given 4 new rewards! I then received a survey offer about my recent visit. I took the survey and was then given a 5th reward of either a Chick-fil-A regular or spicy sandwich!!! I was greatly appreciative of the manner in which Chick-fil-A was "operating'. And so, today, my son and I went back to the same Chick-fil-A, ordering a #1 sandwich only and 2 hand spun milkshakes. After my Chick-fil-A scan bar was put in, I paid $0.00 for our visit; using 3 of my 5 rewards. Many places won't accept more than 1 reward, coupon or offer a day. But Chick-fil-A does! Also, the gentleman who took our order and made our milkshakes was very nice, and blended right in w/my unique sense of humor. All in all, IT WAS A 5 STAR...

My girlfriend did the survey they ask you to do on the bottom of the receipt and got a code for a free sandwich. Of course she went to go claim it before she went to work at 5:30, everything was great. She ordered at 4:38pm and didn't receive her sandwich until maybe 5:10. I don't know what took them so long and I don't know why everybody behind her got their food in 5 minutes or less but that wasn't acceptable. I would think someone who took their own time to do a survey to help their business would get a little better service but that's not the case here. I guess they thought a cookie would fix the problem but the cookie was old and stale. Not expecting a lot of people to read this but this isn't the first time we've experienced this and it probably won't be the last. Also, customer service wasn't all that great.
