Laughing crab - Cajun Seafood — Restaurant in Tyler

Decided to try this place out. Was seated promptly, and 10 minutes later no one had stopped to say hi, take our drink order, or anything. Plenty of workers walked by, focused on their mission. Reminded me of a bunch of robots, or horses with blinders on. Got bored of that after a while and got up and left. I don't think they even noticed. Probably wondered how those two menus got put on the table.

Previous paragraph was about a month ago. Tried out a 2nd time tonight just to give it another chance. It only took 6 minutes this time for someone to stop and get our drink order, and say they were "going to find your waiter". Waiter came over after 4 or 5 more minutes and we ordered. He had already walked by a few times, and even was waiting on the table next to us. Food came in a reasonable amount of time, brought by a third person. My wife got the boiled shrimp and said they were good. I got fried shrimp, which were overcooked, as were the fries. Neither were very good. Cocktail sauce wasn't very good either. Waiter walked by many times, oblivious to us and my empty tea glass. He finally stopped to ask if we were done. Fortunately, he didn't take long to run the card. I suspect our waiter was a bus boy pressed into service, but I don't know that. A bright spot was the lady at the front, who made it a point after we had left to open the front door and shout "thank you for coming" at us as we walked away.

I would give -5 (MINUS 5) if I could. Horrible, horrible Food. Crab so old and overcooked it didn't crack at all and just bent. Calamari like trying to chew a Rubber Band and a Floor Manager that tried to say it's supposed to be that way. I guess Boiled Eggs are supposed to have a BLACK YOLK too! Our Party of 10 included a 1 month old Baby that triggered their automatic tipping. When the Waitress realized we didn't like the Food, she wouldn't come back. No refills after repeatedly asking for it. We were not rude to the Server but I suspect when she saw BLACK Eggs and heard the Floor Manager try to tell us overcooked Food is normal, she probably got embarrassed. We stayed, paid and attempted to eat this swill because the People with the new Baby drove over 60 Miles to visit and show off the Baby. It was too difficult to get everybody up, out and to somewhere else with limited time to visit. I will NEVER return to this place and will tell everyone I know how horrible it was. The Food and Service was beyond ridiculous. I hope the Health Department shuts them down. ...

The service here is terrible. Asia, Tywuan, and Lisa 3 servers at laughing crab need there job taken from them! The manager as well, last night on duty she was completing aware that her employee Tywuan was threaten customers with a gun and decided to completely ignore the situation even when the customer tried to go to her and talk to her about the problem to get a resolution! All because Asia was trying to steal money that the customer dropped! This place is terrible and me and my family used to go all the time but to threaten a PREGNANT woman and her husband is BEYOND wrong. The owners need to watch the video cameras and watch how there employees treat paying customers. The employees here and the actions that took place last night was very disturbing, frightening and just trashy. I would not recommend coming to this place due to there lack of customer service. My waiter asia was terrible from the very beginning.. her attitude was trash, and her service was trash. I had to ask her 4 SEPARATE times to just bring me a drink. I’d rather spend my money...
