Home Away Child Care Center — Local services in Union City

We have our 17-month old son at this daycare right now, and the owner Cathy is a huge reason we decided to enroll our baby at Homeaway. She stayed for an hour past the center's closing time to meet with us and our pandemic baby so he could get introduced to the daycare, and so she could learn about his needs. Cathy was the first non-family member/non-doctor's office person that our baby met, and he had been in a "stranger danger" phase at doctor's visits. With Cathy though, he felt her loving spirit even at this first meeting, and came over to hug her at the end of our conversation, which was so cute and really melted my heart. We have so appreciated Cathy's continuous honesty and transparency from the beginning, including with her policies as to COVID-19 and raising concerns for our consideration that we may not have appreciated as first time parents. Our son is multiracial; we have always felt treated with respect by her and the staff. The Director has been so patient and responsive whenever we have called to check up on our son. The staff input notes on the baby throughout the day with pictures and videos, which we love to see. We have no prior relationship with Cathy or any staff member, and we were not asked to...

Who are these people with the 1 star reviews? It looks like a bunch of people banded together and are bullying the director of this establishment for a non-sense, fabricated situation.

Here is a REAL review. My wife and I LOVE this daycare. They do so many activities with the kids, listen to instructions we provide and if there is any adjustments that need to be made, they adhere to them. My daughter runs to the door, looking forward to going to this place. We get pictures everyday of all the activities she is doing and all of the kids she is playing and engaging with (of all sizes, shapes and colors). Whatever nonsense is going on here, I would disregard. The same person made multiple reviews, bringing down the rating of this daycare and clearly has malicious intent. Disregard those reviews and comments, couldn't be further from the truth, this place is great. This daycare and it’s teachers (infant and toddler 1 classroom) were a blessing for our family. We left our daughter in their care since she was about 9 months and always had peace of mind while she was there. They do a lot of activities and fun things to entertain and teach the kids. My daughter learned so much and we were always surprised when she came home saying new words and doing new things. The teachers, especially Ms Maritza, was like her extended family away from home. She definitely looked out for our daughter. I highly recommend Homeaway and we were sad to have to switch to another daycare due to the school being too far from our new home.

The classrooms are kept clean and they have an outdoor playground too which is safe. They keep you updated via the app and are responsive when you call. Nothing negative to say about this facility and it’s staff.
