I was very hopeful for this experience for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, a lot of miscommunication occurred that will prevent us from going back again. Our experience cost us a whopping $220 for four candles and a flatbread. We were charged $70 per person for the experience, which was fine… even though they said they only upcharged due to it solely being Valentine’s Day. However, the experience, we were later told, was supposed to include the candles, a glass of wine, and a “present” which was a soap looking rose flower that did not even smell like anything and will probably never be lit due to it not having a container for the melted wax. We never received a glass of wine too, we brought our own. From a previous guest’s experience, they shared they were able to put cool stones on the top of their candles. So, when questioning why the $70+ dollar experience was not offering this part of the experience, our Chandler told us it’s because they were not offering it for Valentine’s Day. When we asked the one of the owners, a younger guy, why this wasn’t being offered he graciously allowed us to pick our stones and add them to our candles. That joy was quickly cut short as when we went to pay, we were charged an additional $15 per PERSON for the rocks at the top of our candles. So our $70 experience ended up being $85 each. But that is not all! When going to pay, we were informed of auto-gratuity added for the experience, which was an additional $40 to our bill. The kicker of it all was the “food” we were given. The “pizza” was as served on a wooden paper plate with wooden utensils. It tasted fine but the way they were charging, I was hoping to have a dish of some sort? All in all, with the gratuity, one singular flatbread that had 4 pieces, 4 candles and rocks, we spent $220. Had we been aware of the $15 up charge on rocks, the up charge for the holiday, and the auto gratuity UP FRONT… we may have had a different experience. Very unfortunate end to a wonderful...
Read moreIf you're looking for the perfect blend of creativity, relaxation, and fun, Cork and Candle is your new happy place! I recently had the absolute pleasure of attending a candle-making session hosted by the one and only Suzie, and let me tell you—this was no ordinary workshop. It was an EXPERIENCE.
From the moment we walked in, Suzie welcomed us like old friends. Her energy is infectious, her knowledge is top-notch, and she somehow makes you feel like a candle-making pro, even if it's your first time. She walked us through every step with such clarity and enthusiasm, all while keeping the vibe light, fun, and full of laughter.
The scent selection? Incredible. Think a whole wall of dreamy fragrances—from cozy vanilla to bold citrus blends—and Suzie was there to help us mix and match until we found our perfect signature scents. I left with two custom candles that not only smell amazing, but feel personal and one-of-a-kind.
The space itself is gorgeous too—warm, cozy, and Instagram-worthy in every corner. Pair that with a glass of wine and great company, and you've got a flawless evening.
10/10 recommend. Whether you're planning a date night, girls’ night out, or just need a little self-care escape, Cork and Candle with Suzie is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back—probably dragging all my...
Read moreI have visited Corks and Candles twice in the last year with friends for candle making. My experience in November 2022 compared to August 2023 had some differences. In November my sister and I had wonderful service from our chandler despite it being a busy Saturday afternoon with the place pretty much full. We had pleasant small talk and enjoyed being talked through the process and how everything works and comes together. My second experience this past weekend was not as high quality. Our chandler shared very little about the process despite my friend saying it was her first time. It was slow at the time we arrived (only one other pair that was assisted by a different chandler) and didn't get much busier in our hour and a half there (two other small groups arrived towards the end of our time). Our chandler felt very absent to me during the process. We were given the carafe of wax to pour in the first candle and then waited about 10 minutes for her to return with the wax for the next candles. It also took about 10-15 minutes to get someone's attention at the end of our time so we could check out and pay. My experience in November was much more interactive with the chandler and service was much more prompt. Overall both were enjoyable experiences, but this recent experience was a let down in...
