Custom Creations — Local services in Upper Merion Township

As a Marketing professional, I have been using printing vendors for over 30 years and just when you think it’s safe to get comfortable with ONE - they show you that it’s not. I have done quite a few bulk orders for t-shirts with Custom Creations and I thought I had found a great local printer, but what they did with my last order was disappointing. Every vendor I have ever done business with WOULD NEVER print a double-sided t-shirt without sending me a proof of the front AND the back design ON THE SHIRT! CC did not!! Xavier sent me the front of my shirt asking “if I wanted the design centered or left corner” I said centered - but he only sent me one side of the shirt and I never received a final proof of what the shirt looked like FRONT & BACK - and 43 shirts got printed with the front design on the back and the back design on the front - and Dan (the owner) said OH WELL that’s on you because you didn’t read the fine print!! Got it! I had a balance owed once the shirts were done and Dan offered to take $100 off the balance owed ONLY if I repurchase the shirts and pay them again to have them reprinted correctly. That means I would have to pay the balance owed AND pay to have the shirts done again…Got it! I had to eat that cost out of my pocket and get my shirts reprinted elsewhere. This is why online businesses vs local businesses do better and are more cost effective. Here is my advice to ALL future customers: WHATEVER YOU PURCHASE (especially in bulk) FROM CUSTOM CREATIONS in the King of Prussia Mall (specifically t-shirts) - MAKE SURE YOU GET A FULL PIC (sent to your email NOT text) OF THE FRONT & BACK (if applicable) of your shirt and make sure it is LABELED FRONT & BACK!!! DO NOT accept pieces of your product via text or just a conversation - GET EVERY PROOF, EVERY STEP OF THE PROCESS in other words EVERYTHING IN WRITING…because if you don’t - you just my end up with 43 shirts you can’t use!!!

I have to give this place a one star review because I don’t have a full experience to base it off of. My boyfriend and I specifically selected this store because of the other positive reviews. We made the mistake of parking far away and dragged our preschooler across the mall to patronize this store anyway. Google says Friday hours are until 9pm. My boyfriend got to the store a few minutes after 8 and was told by the employee that they were already closed. My boyfriend explained to the employee that the hours listed online say 9pm, unfortunately the employee only responded with a disgruntled sound and my boyfriend left. My boyfriend runs a small business and was looking for help with getting his logo put on a shirt. I’ve worked retail so I understand how frustrating it is to have customers enter the sales floor close to closing. I’m sadden that there wasn’t at least an offer to discuss the design and a timeline of when it could be done, especially because we went out of our way to use this specific store. I have ordered plenty of shirts and license plates from this place, They are great. always a quick turnaround… however my last experience here will be my last one… would never give somebody a bad review Because I would never want to hurt someone’s business, But I Brought two Nike polos into their store i needed them rushed for a golf outing and made it clear on what i wanted…. somehow, there was a mistake on their end where they decided to put my Business phone number on the front of a Polo…. Well, if you guys are familiar with how business polos look, that would be the first time that has ever been done… which hey mistakes happen But what is unacceptable is the side comment from the owner telling me while that’s what happens when you bring your own product in sometimes… $70 shirts were talking about here. and I was told that I could get something for free if I brought back my own merchandise… I can’t believe this guy thinks I’d come back after that comment… Rest of the employees are great. but i will never be going back to...
