Bonchon King of Prussia — Restaurant in Upper Merion Township

ZERO STARS!! I cant post a picture because I never got my food! After waiting 30mins for a “20 minute wait” I went to the counter to see what was going ono I gave them my order # and guy packing asked the cashier and they both went to look at the tickets one came back and told me it was going to be another 20 minute wait when I asked why he didn’t answer me and another man came from the back to tell me that my food had spilled inside the bag when they were packing it and they threw it out and that the kitchen staff didn’t let him know they didn’t have wings at the moment but not one employee called out my # to let me know what happened to my order the employee proceeded to tell me that I can wait the 20mins for my wings or he can give whatever chicken they had ready that there was nothing that he can do , I said no I wanted my $$ and they should comp my food for their mistake he said he couldn’t do that I told him you literally just threw my order in the garbage because it spilled that’s wasted food and When I asked for the manager he went to the back, I saw him asking another man in the back who started shaking his head “no” when he came out he said the manager didn’t want to deal with the issue and I asked if he was the asst manager and he said yes.. needless to say I got a refund and my family didn’t get their food I spent my $52 elsewhere this is so unprofessional how do you mess up and can’t face the customer smh so disappointing I’ve been to your locations in NJ multiple times and I have NEVER had any issues!! I've been waiting for this location to open for a long time and made it my business to visit on opening day. Unfortunately, I wasn't very happy with the experience. The staff was excellent, but the line was pretty long to only have one open register taking orders (no biggie). The disappointment came with the food itself. Other BonChon locations "cook to order". I wasn't expecting that here as foot traffic is expected to be much much higher. I did expect the wings to be pretty much precooked and waiting to be boxed......and for the most part, it was. I only waited about 4 minutes for my 20 wings as opposed to 30 minutes to an hour at other locations. That being said, I did not expect the wings to be barely warm, pretty dry and have minimal sauce brushed on them. Total letdown (and On-Line or call-ahead ordering was not available). I'm gonna have to stick with the Cherry or 39th Street Philadelphia locations even though I can't stand driving down there. The free t-shirt was the best part of the visit.

Maybe it's just opening day mishaps. If so, I'm sorry to have been apart of it and would've requested a refund if I could. I wish this location the best as it is in a prime location. Provide a fresh, hot and properly sauced product as your fellow locations do and...

Bonchon Korean fried chicken was really hyped up by other people and online, so I had high hopes for how good it was supposed to taste. However, when I finally tried it, I was disappointed to find that the flavor didn't quite live up to the hype. The chicken looked like it was going to be crispy and well-seasoned, and the sauce that was used was flavorful, but I was expecting crispy chicken, and instead, it was soggy. It was like a soggy layer of dough. If I had known that, I would have just shared a meal with someone instead of letting it go to waste. It has a spicy kick to it, so if you like spicy food, you will like it. The portion size and fries were decent as well. Since it is in the mall, I just found a seat in the eating area, which wasn't too far from the counter, so getting napkins and such was easy. The line wasn't too long, and the staff was friendly.
