My wife, and I were visiting family in Pittsburgh, PA, and decided to head East to see more of the state. We ended up in Philadelphia but decided to stay outside of the City, due to our limited budget. We stopped in King of Prussia, PA, (26 Aug 14)and pulled into the Best Western. I always thought of Best Western as a "road-side" hotel with basic amenties. My requirements are pretty basic, comfortable bed and a hot breakfast. First, there is adequate parking, near the room. The lobby was about what I expectected, for a road-side hotel. The man at the desk was very accommodating and friendly. We didn't have reservations and he got us right in. We got to the room and I was highly impressed. It was roomy, and comfortable. The room was clean and the bed more than ment my requirements; I'm a little more picky when traveling with my Wife. We arrived in the evening and preferred not to eat out. The desk clerk told us where to find a local grocery store and we put the in room micro wave, and refrigerator to good use. After a day on the road we wanted to relax a little and headed for the hot tub. It was located in a court yard that was surrounded by the Hotel. Access could only be gained through the Hotel itself. Which made it kind of exclusive and quiet. We enjoyed both the swimming pool and the hot tub. After that, and a hot shower we had a blissful night in our wonderful room. After a good, great, nights rest we enjoyed the Hotels cmplimentry hot breakfast. This was a great start to the day. I stopped again at the front desk to ask for the directions, the same man was on duty from the night before. He was very helpful in getting me to Liberty Square, and gave this country-boy some good advice for the city traffic.
Overall I have to say my stay at the King-of-Prussia Best Western was outstaning! The employees were friendly and courteous, and helpful. The room was wonderful, the rates were good, and the breakfast was great! I would deffinately stay here again, and, recommend this Hotel to anybody visiting the area! Wish I could have stayed a second night.

Read moreThere are great pros and important cons for this hotel. It seems new. The hotel is in a great location, nicely designed, has easy parking and super clean rooms and property. The pool has a House lift for disabled guests, something I've never seen before, and that's a great amenity. |There's ping- pong and a well-appointed gym with a rope climber, which I've never seen before. The staff is friendly and professional. It is a great value for the money in many ways.|The BAD news is uncontrolled noise of some guests. |1. There was a HUGE domestic argument in room 119 that could be heard from both ends of the hallway, my husband and I heard it on our way to play ping pong. It was still going on after we had played two games, and I informed the front desk. It was intense and dangerous, plus there were children in that room, and it escalated to a domestic dispute that was scary, from what it sounded like up and down the hallway. Guests like that should be asked to leave. The property is too nice and pleasant to have guests disturbing the peace of other guests.|2. There was a party either outside or in one of the rooms that raged all night, I could hear it at 2 a.m. as well as earlier and later. This is inappropriate at such a nice property, and disrupts everyone trying to sleep. |I was surprised and annoyed that nothing was done about it. They need security staff at this property, a police presence, or a much better manager. My husband heard a couple complain as they were checking out that they were kept awake until 5 a.m. because of the noise. We were on the third floor, so it wasn't as bad for us. We stayed 7 nights in Allentown by the airport, and there was a full house on Saturday night of people who were clearly going out to party, and yet the whole property was quiet all day and night. Unruly guests should not be allowed to disrupt the guest experience of an entire hotel.|That said, the front desk staff were kind, helpful and professional. They need better...
Read moreHere are the notes I took: Location: The hotel is conveniently located for exploring King of Prussia Mall, just a 5-minute drive away. However, the hotel's location was a bit confusing because there wasn't a prominent sign with the hotel's name on the building. Even the main door (lobby) didn't have a sign. The building is next to the Residence Inn Hotel, so be attentive when you're looking for it. Our Domino's Pizza delivery driver had trouble finding the hotel. There's a Domino's Pizza and a Mexican restaurant nearby.
Cleanliness and Comfort: Upon check-in, we were given room 113, but we requested a room change because it smelled like cigarette smoke, indicating that someone had smoked in that room. The front desk staff accommodated our request and immediately gave us another room, room 213. The room was very clean, spotless, and spacious. I appreciated the absence of rugs or carpeting. The bed sheets and towels were spotless and white. The mattresses were firm and comfortable, allowing us to sleep well despite the hotel's proximity to a high-traffic area.
Breakfast: The breakfast area is on the second floor, and you need your room key to access it. They serve a good selection for breakfast. The breakfast attendant was very friendly and hardworking, ensuring the dishes were refilled and the area was kept clean.
Employees: Every employee we met was friendly and performed their duties flawlessly. We would like to thank all of them.
Facilities: The hotel doesn't have a pool, but guests can use the pool facilities at the Residence Inn by informing the front desk. There is no guest laundry on-site, so don't plan on washing your clothes here. Also, there's no microwave in the room; only a fridge is available. A microwave is only available in the area near the lobby.
Overall, our experience was good and within our budget, and everything was perfect. It would be helpful if they put up a big sign with the name of the hotel to avoid...
