My Experience here? Ridiculous.! I'm shopping to make my boyfriends-dad's-girlfriend something for her day. I'm getting stickers & lil girly stuff & about 15 min in I notice this chubby lady w/a ponytail & black Michael's employee shirt literally making 0 effort to hide that she following me. I mean EVERYWHERE! I'm watching other customers go by & She paid 0 mind to ask if they need help or ask me if I need help I have no clue what I could have done to make her think this was necessary...so finally I had enough. I go & hand her my basket & I said do u want to hold this for me while I shop & she's like huh? I said we'll u have been my shadow the whole time I've been here- frankly it's insulting, rude, & making this whole experience extremely uncomfortable so if ur gonna do that u might as well make itself useful & carry that 4 me plus my hand is injured. (It obviously was) She's like I'm not gonna do that .. I'm like we'll if ur not gonna help me shop while your making me feel like u either take me 4 some kind of low life person or ur crushing on me hard. Either way ruining my shopping trip so I'll go spend this $ (I held up a handful of cash) at hobby lobby instead. I wouldn't care if she would have made herself scarce/tried to be a little more discreet cuz then no harm no foul...but you stand at every eisle I'm in & only move where I move then that's making me very uncomfortable since I've done NOTHING WRONG & therefore sending my business elsewhere. Read moreI normally have no issues with this store. I called to see if they had a clearance item in stock before going into the store, as it wouldn't allow me to order online and then do store pick up.
The first person who answered the phone, kept repeating what I said to someone else and I could hear a person in the background responding. It was very generic (yes, they carried the brand). When I clarified I was looking for a specific item, they said they'd have to look.
A few minutes later, another woman (sounded older) answered the phone. She said she would have to go look for the item. Well, as I write this, I've been on hold for almost 30 minutes.
Customer service would dictate you pick up the phone and let the customer know you are still looking or you are having difficulty locating the item. Can no one else in the store see the line is on hold and might want to find out if that person is in need of assistance?
Very poor customer service and obviously customer service needs a bit of retraining, imo....
Read moreIf you like working for free after standing in line for 20 minutes with others who had a few items (that would have otherwise been a quick purchase, no line experience if they had actual employed cashiers) Literally, walked up to a line of 2 customers that quickly became a line in behind me of several, waiting 20 minutes! Why? Because the one employee was busy training the customer on their self check out machine that is in front of the 2 TWO designated cashier spots (empty) She kept instructing others to go to the SC if we had cards. We saw that prices were not correct and customers were waiting for the ONE employee to come correct. This was not a one off, this was the MAJORITY of the purchases that we watched, as we waited to do their job, for FREE. Never again. If Michael's or any other store wants me as a cashier, they will pay me. My TIME and experience is NOT FREE. Horrible...
