Ulta Beauty — Local services in Vacaville

As a platinum member, of all the Ulta stores I've been to, this store was a disappointment to me. My family and I came here from out of town and I wanted to purchase some makeup for my mom since she was with me. My mother doesn't wear makeup. She's never had to buy foundation. So, we don't know what foundation would match her skin tone. Since she's always used Clinique's skin care products, we decided to try their foundation out first.

Now, the place wasn't as busy at the time we were there, but I noticed a group of employees crowding the area near Clinique, Too Faced, and Urban Decay. Although there were about 6-7 of them just chit-chatting, none of them asked if we needed help and Ive always been asked from the other Ulta stores I've been to. Some of them kept looking at us, but still, no one bothered to ask if we needed help. I had to ask the guy that was part of the crowd if someone could help us find the foundation that would best fit my mother's skin tone. We waited. He didn't come back to let us know the person from the Clinique department will be on her way. After minutes of waiting I tried grabbing the guys attention to see if the lady was on her way or not, and he said "she's at the back she should be there any minute". 15 minutes later, she still hasn't came. I don't see why the 6-7 group of people weren't capable of helping us out.

This is my first time writing a review. I never had to write one, but this store showed me what bad customer service is like. I was so happy to have my mom finally with me so I can spoil her for Mothers day. I left this store with such disappointment and will never be...

I was getting my haircut at a salon in Vacaville and I asked for a place to get my makeup and hair done as my son was getting married. One person in the salon said that she knew Ulta did makeup. So I scheduled an appointment for the day of wedding. Everyone was very polite at Ulta. Two persons were working on me, makeup and hair. The mirrors are a little too far to look up close to the makeup.

As I looked in the mirror in my car I just about died. I couldn't believe how bad everything was. First the makeup was so thick on my face there were tons of layers, eyelashes were filled with powder, not black! The girl had put a line of silver glitter at the end, that was all over my cheek. All I could see was a face of a dead person in a coffin, that's exactly how my face looked!

Hair-do was like Shirley Temple. I asked for big wavy curls! I was so disappointed!

I was out by 11 am, got home washed my face 3 times with soap and twice with makeup remover and still wasn't able to get it all off. I finally did and I used my makeup and used my big curler and was ready in 30 mins.

Horrible experience, I will never go there again, $31 for hair and $40 for makeup, money down the drain! Lesson learned, sometimes we learn...

I went to Ulta for a haircut appointment and I booked with Sarah who was fine in my whole appointment. She was nice enough to redo my brownout as she messed up in hearing but, I asked for long layers with u shaped haircut and 2 inches off with bangs starting from my cheeks. Over there I couldn’t see if it was good or no but I tipped her realizing how she redid my hair without complaining. When I reached home everybody told me it looks exactly the same and then I realized it too. I was busy the next day so couldn’t call them so i did it today explaining my issue. But the lady in the hair reception area was soo unhelpful and rude thats she told me they can book me for tomorrow but I do have to pay. I asked her twice if even with ur staff’s mistake I need to pay and she was saying same thing- “we have an appointment for tomorrow and yes you need to pay it.” I was soo shocked cause I was just asking for 2 inches off not even layers again but she denied and I had to cut the call. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there and get assistance from the receptionist in hair and get a haircut from Sarah cause you will be troubled trying to explain her what you want and you will end up with something else which they will...
