Moby's On Main — Local services in Ventura

Moby's is awesome! We've needed a legit arcade in Ventura for decades. What I love about Moby's is that they have REAL pinball machines, both modern and vintage; as well as other classic console games like Ms Pacman and Gallaga.

The only thing I wish was more clear was the payment situation. I was told at the register ALL games took a token card; however, there are several games (mostly the ones I wanted to play) that still took quarters. So it wasn't until AFTER I put $100 into their token card machine for myself and kids that I realized I had to go back to the register for quarters. It was very hot and stuffy in there, so better air circulation would be nice, but other than that, we had a great time!

Their machines are all high quality and in great working order, awesome action on the flippers, etc. Really appreciated that on Gallaga as well! Keep up the good work Moby's, and maybe just put out a helpful sign explaining the token card/quarter situation that's easy to see for new...

Cute place, great for any age. Visited tonight for the first time.

Several options for games, free older titles up to air hockey and basketball. Game prices don’t break the bank and are cheaper than most other local arcades. None of the games are violent, so they’re safe for all ages.

Food and drink options are a great price for downtown. Snack options like grilled cheese, ice cream, and small nibbles. Alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks are available, generally local offerings. Non alcoholic drinks are particularly reasonable, like $2 seltzers.

Noise isn’t too loud. Can easily keep a conversation without screaming over noise. Safe for kids without hearing protection.

Staff are a high point. Very courteous and actively engaged with patrons. Place has a lot of energy and good number of people flowing through.

During a recent family road trip through Ventura, a city I used to work in a decade ago, I was pleasantly surprised by all the changes, including the appearance of Moby's on Main, a new arcade downtown. It turned out to be a great spontaneous stop for us, especially for my 4-year-old.

She absolutely loved stepping inside and taking in all the cool decorations and playing some of the games. While she enjoyed the games, her primary delight came from the delicious ice cream available – a definite highlight for her!

Moby's on Main isn't a massive arcade, but for Ventura, where arcades aren't very common, it's a fantastic addition. It provides a fun, engaging space for kids and families.
