Worst customer service experience we have ever received!! My wife and I decided to come to Sportsman’s Warehouse because of their convenient hours. On 04/14/18 we went to check out some fire arms, there was a little bit of a wait but not to bad as there were other people in the store as well. A gentleman at the gun counter started helping us, we looked at a few options and decided on one. We were then passed off to another employee, because the other team member seemed to not want to process the paperwork. The next employee then started helping us fill out the paperwork and due to the fact it was so late we were told we wouldn’t hear back until in the morning 04/15/18 (which was absolutely fine). We were looking forward to a call the next day, but we never heard back, so on Wednesday 4/18 My wife was curious why the process was taking so long and she went into Sportsman’s. After a few minutes of waiting at the gun counter the gentleman that helped her told her they must have misplaced the paperwork. Once they realized she wanted to buy a firearm, then they suddenly wanted to help her.
On Sunday (04/22/18) we were able to go shooting. The gun misfired the first shot and we emptied out the gun and loaded new rounds into it and it jammed again (maybe just a lemon. Stuff happens) We tried a different brand of ammo and the same thing happened. We took the gun back in on that same day and were immediately helped by Dom, which he is an amazing employee. He gives excellent customer service and deserves a raise! We told him the issues we were having and he immediately started looking into the gun, he even went out of his way to take it apart and clean it for us. After it was oiled up he sent us off to see if maybe that would fix the problem. We went out shooting again and the gun still jammed. We thought maybe it just needed to be broke in so we tried to shoot several rounds through it and it didn’t get any better. We were a little bummed as we spent $700 and it had issues. Again guns fault, so not a big deal. My wife received a call a few days later from an employee stating that there was an error on the paperwork and asked if we could come back down to sign. This was a perfect opportunity to sign the papers and be able to have Sportsman’s send the fire arm in for warranty. We got to the store on 04/28/18 around 4:50 pm. We checked in the gun and proceeded back to the gun counter and the older gentleman that was working couldn’t find the paperwork and said we’d have to wait for a manager. He was super nice and continued showing us some of his favorite guns which helped the time go by. It was now 5:45, nearly an hour to get help, with signing a paper and start the warranty process. Chris Roth was the manager and is the worst manager I have EVER had to deal with. We then told him what was going on and he started to reluctantly help us. As he said I’m not even done with my lunch yet, to another employee. He did say he could send it back to the distributor to have it worked on. We had noticed in the near hour of standing there that the gun we purchased ten days prior was on sale by $50. I brought that up to him and he stated unfortunately there isn’t anything we can do about that. Which is fine. I brought up to him my frustration that we had been waiting there nearly an hour and he again responded with, well unfortunately I have to take a lunch too! My wife and I were beyond frustrated at this point. I replied back to Chris, is there anything you can do for us and he stated “you can take the gun somewhere else if you’d like. Chris was disrespectful in front of everyone. He was disrespectful to his employees and to his customers. We just spent $700 at your store and received terrible, terrible service. He should not be...
Read moreMy recent experience at Sportsman's Warehouse left much to be desired due to the consistently rude behavior of the employees. From the moment I entered, there was an evident lack of courtesy and professionalism. Upon approaching the counter, I was met with dismissive gestures and impatient sighs, which made me feel unwelcome and hesitant to continue with my transaction. When I attempted to ask questions about their products/services, the responses were curt and borderline condescending. Unfortunately, this attitude persisted throughout my visit, with employees seemingly more interested in chatting amongst themselves than assisting customers. It's disheartening to encounter such poor customer service, especially considering the importance of creating a welcoming environment for patrons. While the [establishment] may have quality products/services, the overall experience was marred by the discourteous behavior of its staff. I hope management addresses this issue promptly to ensure future customers are treated with the respect...
Read moreI went in to grab some rifle ammo this week that my friend had purchased 2 weeks earlier from this store. Two employees standing behind the gun counter, no other customers around. Because my vision isnt great, I asked them if they could help me find the specific caliber I was looking for. One of the guys says he didn't know if they had it, and the other said if it was there, it would just be on the shelf. No directions, no help, nothing. They just went back to having their conversation and so I walked away. I certainly didn't want to inconvenience them to do their job. I left the store and told my friend I dont think I'll ever go back into a Sportsman's ever again if that is their idea of customer service. I can order it online shipped to my house, just figured I would try to support the local business if they wanted it. Such a...
