Feather Glass Wine Bar & Eatery — Restaurant in Vernon Hills

We came out for a night of theatre and found this absolute gem of a restaurant. We ordered the ravioli, chicken kabobs, caprese plate and naan-nini with street potatoes. My wife ordered a sweet-savory cocktail that was out of this world. For dessert, we shared the strawberry panna cotta with gold foil and chocolate lavender ganache cake. Not only was the food delicious, the presentation was absolutely beautiful. Although we sat outside, the ambience within and without were equally inviting.

Our server Maahi was a consummate professional and I can unequivocally attest from our singular interaction that she has all the qualities that would make her an asset to any organization. The icing on the cake was at the end of our meal when I asked for a box so I could box up my dessert. She insisted that I allow her to do it. Although in the moment it didn’t occur to me, shortly after, the penny dropped and I realized the weight of this implication. It was that small gesture that spoke volumes. She is destined for great things.

The owner, Purvi, was warm, friendly and actually took the time to speak to me and explained the significance behind the restaurant’s name, which was such a beautiful story. My only regret is that I don’t live closer, but now I have an amazing reason to come back. I will definitely be returning and encouraging others to visit. Thank you...

An unforgettable dining experience in Chicagoland!

Feather Glass offers a fusion of cuisines in an elegant interior. Our server, Rose, was friendly and professional. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Tacos from the happy hour menu. Being from Texas, we are picky about our tacos. We're not usually fans of corn tacos, but these had a wonderful texture (not too soft, not too hard). The filling was delicious and the garnishes were the perfect compliment. I plan to have these every time I visit.

We also ordered the Paneer Roasted Ravioli, because who could pass on something so unique! The ravioli were tender and stuffed with firm and flavorful cheese. The Indian spiced tomato cream sauce put a delightful spin on this traditional Italian dish.

The wine menu is beyond extensive featuring local, national, and international varieties. We opted instead for the Orange Mango Basilini. The basil imparted a savory note to this refreshing non alcoholic drink.

Really impressed by the food, wine, ambiance, staff, and price at this new wine bar in Vernon Hills! I came here after work for happy hour and dinner. My colleague and I started out with the May tasting at the bar. It was a fun experience! The owner was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed hearing about the wines and the stories behind them. I had no idea there were so many great wines in the IL region! Try the IL pinot noir, you will be surprised! The tasting was just a fantastic way to try something new. We then ordered a sharable board to drink with a wine flight. Finally, we had steak and the chicken kabobs for dinner. The steak was perfectly done and the chicken was moist and flavorful. I just felt like the food was on point, unique with the spices and the right portion size so you did not walk out feeling terrible.
