The Atworth at Mellody Farm — Local services in Vernon Hills

We have lived in the Atworth for 3 months now and could not be happier. We love our apartment, the quality of the appliances and finishes, and enjoy the location. The management has kept the amenities very COVID safe and the residents on a whole are very mask compliant.

The thing that has absolutely been over the top is the responsiveness of property management to maintantence and upkeep. Since we have lived here, they have replaced all the hall flooring and are constantly working around the property to keep it looking nice. They are also super quick to respond to any issues (which have been very minor things like fixing a blind) we've had within our apartment. I mean within hours of a request, things are taken care of. They even helped us hang pictures. Everyone who works here is very polite and friendly.

They are VERY dog friendly here. They have a great dog run (which is cared for on a daily basis) as well as bags and drop stations around the property. They are also very responsive to snow removal so dogs have a non snowy place to go. We have gone out EARLY in the morning after a snow and places are already cleared. It is very impressive.

When you apply for an apartment here, they will charge you more than $300 admin fee plus 75$ application fee. No other apartment would charge you the admin fee upon application (You can verify this by going through other Chicago suburb apartment complexes' websites or just calling them). The fact that The Atworth at Mellody Farm is the exception in charging an extra fee for just an application was the red flag which we ignored due to our inexperience. Anyway, we wanted to cancel our application because we figured these apartments are heavily overpriced compared to other luxury apartments in Vernon Hill (you can verify this by simply looking up other apartment complexes in Vernon Hills). Also, you would see that the Melody apartments' monthly rates are higher than what appears on their website due to weird extra fees (you would see this once you go in person for an in-person tour). They refused to pay back our admin fee and made up weird excuses. All in all, if you are 100% sure that you want to rent an OVERPRICED apartment from them, then go ahead otherwise if you end up changing your mind they will keep the admin fee (which is weirdly higher than almost all the luxury apartments in Chicago suburbs) along with your...

I am a tenant at the Atworth and have just renewed my lease for another year🥳!!!! These past over 9 moths now have been extremely amazing here at the Atworth. The staff is just so very welcoming and always there to help. The maintenance crew is just as sweet. The Atworth has continued to go above and beyond in giving back to their tenants. There’s so many coupons that are given to us tenants in the mail for the restaurants in melody farms to get some type of discount or money off To the free breakfast and bagels on Saturday. The annual pool party with live DJ and free taco bar, then the annual dog pool party, free dog treats in the corridor because they are just so dog friendly, free coffee machine in the main lounge to each and every holiday party the Atworth host’s. The decor from the experience to the energy in the room is just a 10/10 five star rating in way. After every Atworth event I as someone who lives here walk away happy that I do. I walk away knowing.
