I normally love this Kohl’s despite it being a little bit messy. I love stopping here after a long day at work. Today was the complete opposite. I just got done working a 14 hour shift and needed to pick up a pair of shoes I’ve dealt with people and customer service all day long I purposefully went through self check out Because I just honestly didn’t want to see or talk to any people . Im exhausted and just want to get my items and head home.
Well, I was headed to the self check out. There was already a gentleman cashing out and an employee who was young redhead female on the very slender side who asked me if I was paying card or cash. I told her I was paying Card. She pointed me to the direction of a self checkout register I went over and started entering my phone number immediately she started grabbing my items from me and started scanning them herself, I said “thank you, but I got it “and she completely ignored me and started typing on my screen and basically cashing me out despite me being in self check out . There was three other open registers so it wasn’t like there was a long line of people waiting for the registers and I was going too slow or anything . Which this may seem like a minor thing, but I do believe that it is very rude to do that. She didn’t do that to any other customer, only me despite me being dressed professional. I had coupons and such that I wanted to use that I didn’t even end up being able to scan because she had typed in everything for me without even asking me.
I’ve worked in customer service for over 10 years the whole point and self check out at the CUSTOMER does it themselves, meaning if I wanted a team member to do it for me then I would have gone in the other cashier line.. not only that there was a pair of shoes that I bought that had two security tags on them. They were the last pair and I wanted to remove them myself because I wanted to make sure there wasn’t a hole put in them from the pin. Sure enough now there is a hole because she struggled to remove the tag and was rushing.
It wasn’t like I looked shady and she needed to do that. I only had two items A pair of sneakers in a box and a bodysuit: She even reached in front of me to grab my receipt and hand it to me and bagged my things taking off the hanger that I wanted to keep and as I left, I made sure to mention to another employee that was rude for her to do that. Or if you’re going to take items from me like that, at least asked me how my day was trying to make small talk. While this may seem like a small issue to some people but his was extremely rude and she didn’t do this to any other customer but me which I shop in the store probably five times a week and have never had any issues, but I will not be returning after this. Not only is it poor customer service, and just flat out rude to do that, but it certainly made me feel some type away as I looked like a untrustworthy person or I was suspected of doing something wrong. She didn’t ask if she could help me or if she could scan the items for me or anything, she immediately grab the items from me and started taking over, tapping my screen and so forth Again the whole point and self check out for the customer to do it themselves .
I made sure on my way out to mention how rude this was to another employee, and she seemed to understand exactly what I was saying. Hopefully somebody will say something to this girl because this establishment will lose...
Read moreI was looking for a certain item for Christmas. It was 11:30 PM and I'd hit Macy and Penny's but they just didn't have what I was looking for. Though the girls at both stores were very helpful. So, now it's 12 minutes to midnight and I thought Kohl's will probably be open let me check it out.
I get there and there are big signs saying 24 hours until Christmas. I was so happy. I don't want to reveal the item I got because it's a gift that I haven't given yet. Alexis, a Kohl's worker, had heard of the item and she showed me the options. There were two options but I was having a hard time deciding because of the price. Then Alexis came back and she had found another option, the very last one, that was actually a perfect fit for what I was looking for at half the price.
So, they also had a bunch of stocking stuffers and I got a bunch of those and some other small gifts. They had a really neat appliance, an instapot oven. I got that, we are on propane but hate using our oven because we don't like wasting propane..
I go to check out. I don't think I've been in Kohl's in over 5 years. It says rewards no matter how you pay. So I signed up for that and earned a pretty big reward that spends exactly like cash. Then the sales girl Daisy, gives me a 20% off coupon. I literally save $62 more. Three times the sales tax! Yeah, I work all day and have a hard time getting out to shop for Christmas. Kohl's had a lot of cool stuff and stuff I actually needed for this year's Christmas. Also, if you go to Kohl's and order something for delivery they will ship it free. So, you can try it on, get your size right, and then order it at the sales price and get it shipped free. Plus every employee I dealt with was super cool. So go shop Kohl's in...
Read moreI will never step foot in this store again. I feel like they think I am trying to get money back from something I didn't purchase there.Trying to return an exchanged item. Had the original receipt and they said I could not get a refund without the exchange receipt. Ok, I get that, so I bring the exchange receipt in and they tell me they cannot help me without ths original receipt. Called the store manager, explained the whole ordeal and asked me to come back and it would be taken care of. Went back in, but the same answer. Said I couldn't be helped without the original receipt. What a waste of time.
UPDATE: went back the next day with all of my receipts and even a copy of my bank statement (only because on the second time the manager had me insert my card to verify purchase I made with it which she said was not used). Explained the whole ordeal with the person at the return counter. She looked at all if it, scanned the original receipt, all was fine and I received my refund. She didn't understand what the problem was with the first attempted return. She also believed that the employee who did the even exchange at the register did it incorrectly. So because an employee did it incorrectly, I had to pay for the inconvenience, frustration, and humiliation. Still won't return to this store. I will take my...
