Best buy? More like worst nightmare!!!! I purchased an open box tv that was "certified" by the geek squad. We asked them to verify it had everything and were told thats what the sticker is for. I get the tv home and it has nothing.... no manual, no power cord, no 3d glasses, no hardware to assemble the mount and no remote control. I called in and spome with dewayne and he rold me to ring it by for an exchange. When i arrived not only did they not exchange the tv as they told me but i was made ro wait an hour an a half in the customer service line while the assistant manager jessica ordered a remote control, dont ask me what takes an hour to order a remote off a website but thays how long i was made to wait. Jessica was extremely rude and unhelpful you could tell before she even got to the counter she wasnt interested in helping ANYONE. So i get my remote ordered all well that ends well right???? Hell no, its been 13 days the remote hasnt even been shipped out, and now even worse i could go buy a better tv for half the mo ey but best buy refuses to return my cash to me, i paid in cash but they want to send me a check in 7 to 10 days. Their customer service from corporate was just as poor i spoke with ryan at extension 60033 1 time and was told they manager wpuld follow up with me and if i needed anything just call. Ive called ryan at least 4 times and left messages an have yet to recieve a call back. I will never deal with best buy again. They have cost me time effort and worst of all an extra 700$ for the same tv except the 800 dollar one would uave actually had everything in the box. So i get to pay $700 more wait an indefinite amount of time for my accessories and deal with rude people who could care less about doing their jobs. Doesnt sound like a best anything to me. I had a friends birthday coming up on a sunday so I looked on Amazon and Best Buy. v Amazon was offering two day shipping Best Buy was offering one day. So I went with Best Buy I purchased it on a Thursday it said it would be here on Friday. I got updates on Friday morning saying it was picked up by a carrier. that was the last update until 11:00 p.m saying it was delayed . I figured the issue would be resolved by the morning time and it would be shipped out. but there were no updates on Saturday at all. it was stuck in 'delayed' status.
Sunday morning the day of the birthday I chatted with a chatbot on the website . That whole process took 45 minutes. I ended up being transferred to people who deal with the shipping side of things and they promised me that they were sending this over to the "right people" and that they would make sure that it would be shipped the same day(sunday). But i received no further updates at all. By Sunday evening I realize that I wasn't going to get it so i had to go out and purchase from another retail store. Today ( early Monday morning) I went through the process of talking to the chatbot again having to repeating the same stuff over and over again and was told it would arrive in 1-3 days. I obviously refused and asked for a refund.
This whole process was more frustrating that it needed to be. I understand delays happen but this was more than that. Something was wrong in their system. back in the day when a company made a mistake they would offer a coupon, credit or some incentive to return. I went in looking for a printer, but I didn't realize I walked into home Depot, as in the workers were walking past us but never asking if we needed help, and when we went looking for help we couldn't find anyone. (This might have been an understaff a situation I'm not entirely sure ) We had honestly been there for at least 45 minutes and absolutely no one had came up to us, and we had tons of questions and unfortunately, they do not put up much information about their products. We had finally just decided on one due to some decent reviews on the Best buy website, and when we went out to the cash registers we had met Cole, who is very sweet and kind and told us about this other printer that would save us a bunch of ink, just in case if we were worried about ink prices. Honestly, it's like he had read my mind, he loaded us up with information, even went out of his way to find an employee to cover the cash register, so he could take us to the printers and talk to us more about it. He has so much information, I'm honestly not sure why he's not on the sales floor. We love the printer that he suggested to us, and honestly I don't leave reviews for employees unless they were absolutely spectacular. He was beyond spectacular.
