My husband and I were at the 1965 Viera Blvd; Rockledge, FL 32955 Goodwill store Sunday, 02/02/25 about 11:30 am. I was looking for a âreacher/grabberâ, one of those long sticks that allows you to pick up things from the ground. A Goodwill employee, Clayton, was walking to the back of the store and I stopped him and asked where would the reachers/grabbers be located. He suggested 2 areas but said that they donât often have those for sale. I went to both areas and as he thought, there were no reachers/grabbers there. A couple of minutes later I was in the aisle where Clayton was bringing out a reclining chair, and as he set up the chair, I noticed that he had 2 reachers/grabbers on the seat! He handed both to me. I couldnât believe how kind he was to take the time to go through the inventory in the back, find 2 reachers/grabbers, place a price tag on them, and bring them out to me. I truly believe that there are angels walking among us and Clayton is definitely one of them! I thanked him at the store but please once again convey my sincere thank you to him for totally making not only my day, but Iâve been using the reacher/grabber I purchased constantly since then. Clayton deserves a raise or at least a bonus for the amazing, way beyond 100%, AAA+++ customer care he showed to me that day! Thank you again Claytonđ!! (Please pass along this email to Claytonâs boss.)
We had been to the beach and I twisted my knee! I couldn't walk, and knew that I would need some type of cane/walker, at least for a couple of days, so we stopped at the 1965 Viera Blvd, Rockledge, FL Goodwill about 3:30 on Saturday 09/07/24. Using a shopping cart I was able to hobble into the store and went to the area where they had canes/walkers. A staff member by the name of Glen was in that same space putting out luggages and assured me that I would not be in his way. I was testing out canes and walkers and was telling Glen the story of how I just wanted to go to the beach and now I have a twisted knee! He was so kind listening to me and as he watched me testing out the various walkers said that he had just the thing for me and asked if I could wait for a minute or so. He went into the back and within minutes came out with a walker that had 4 wheels, a little basket and a seat! I tried it out and it was perfect! Using the walker I was able to get back to my car and have used it continuously since then at home. Glen deserves a raise or at least a bonus for his beyond 100% AAA+++ customer service in not only listening to me, but getting the walker that has allowed me to be mobile around my house while I recuperate. Glen you are an angel and thank you so very,...
Read moreThis is the most expensive Goodwill in FL, and the most expensive Goodwill I've seen in most US states for that matter. Items here are often priced double that of other Goodwills nearby and throughout FL. Whether it's because of badly trained pricing staff or because they're trying to pay for a shiny new building, it really doesn't matter. Avoid this Goodwill, there are no deals to be found here.
Here's some examples: Common video games $6.99 at this Goodwill (2.99-4.99 at all others) I've never seen so many games on the shelf at a Goodwill in literally thousands of visits nationwide because they're priced so poorly. Music CDs/PC Software also often $6.99 at this Goodwill DVDs: They have signage saying they're $1.99, but guess what labels were present on many of them? I saw many examples of items in the glass case priced well over ebay and even well over what the items are to buy new. Clothing on the racks, same deal, you'd be better off shopping at the Outlets for the prices this Goodwill thinks they can get away with.
I'll re-evaluate next time I'm in the area but for now this is the worst major thrift store in FL. Goodwills have been getting increasingly greedy but this particular one is leading the pack. Do not shop here, and please do not...
Read moreA huge thank you to Cindy and the staff at the Viera Goodwill for going above and beyond! My daughter realized at night that the charger cable for her new headphones was missingâit was a proprietary cable, so replacing it would have been tough. She last remembered having it mid-afternoon when we arrived at Goodwill, so I rushed back to the store (about a half hour drive), arriving just before closing.
I searched the parking lot and inside the store with no luck. Cindy and the team were incredibly helpful. A staff member took down my information and had me sketch the connector for reference. As the store was about to close, I mentioned it to Cindy at the checkout counter as I was preparing to give up, and she went out of her way to look for it and even check through the trash in the back. Amazingly, she found the cable!
I cannot thank Cindy and the team enough for their kindness, persistence, and willingness to go the extra mile. Their excellent customer service turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a positive one. Thank...
