Last week, I read in the Scarsdale Inquirer about a new store that had opened on Harwood Court, called Scent & Fluence. I was curious since I couldn’t imagine a store that only sold “scents’. This afternoon while walking on Harwood Court I saw the store and a stranger walked up to me and said, “you should check out that new store, it smells incredible”. I decided to go inside and as soon as I walked in the door, I felt like I was being seduced by the most incredible fragrances. I realized that Scents and Fluence might be the best remedy to staying at home during our ongoing pandemic. You can have the most stimulating scents or aromatic ones pumped into your home via your heating and air-conditioning systems. You might choose to buy individual room “scenters” that can give off little blasts of fragrances that might stimulate your teenagers to be more motivated as they zoom with their classmates. I ended up buying some amazing hand sanitizers with fragrances that came in both masculine and feminine scents. For me, I bought a Bamboo hand sanitizer that came in a cool little bottle for $6. I put some on when I got into my car and I was astonished by how the aroma filled the vehicle; I inhaled and felt almost giddy. The owner, Caroline Fabrigas, was kind enough o explain all the unique features of her store and how these scents can enhance your home or office. My recent experience with ScentFluence was outstanding! I spent hours researching different companies and their products. My main concerns were product safety, product quality, customer experience, and of course the ability to deliver a mind blowing olfactory experience. I came across a lot of companies that were heavily marketed and had websites that would make you think they checked all my boxes. But digging deep into the blog posts and the genuine reviews revealed a market that's filled with defective products, unsafe oils, and poor customer service. I finally stumbled upon ScentFluence and saw that their products are not "inspired by" the aromas of some of the world's most premiere hotels and spas, but that they genuinely produce the scents for these businesses! Product safety? Check! They are IFRA and RIFM compliant and are committed to their clean scent ethos. Product quality? Check! They back their diffusers with a really good warranty, and their essential oils are made for clients such as 1 Hotels and Deep Blue Med Spa among others. Customer experience? Double check! When I called the number listed on Google, I spoke with the owner of the business, Caroline. She was so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful and answered all of my questions thoughtfully and clearly.
