Target — Local services in Virginia

I usually only have good things to say about Target. The store is always very clean, especially the bathrooms, and well stocked. I wish I could say the same for Walmart. My experience today was good, just subpar for Target. The front end employees were not knowledgeable. It took two of them to figure out my target circle discount at the register. The majority of the self-checkouts were not working and most of the other registers were closed, so I actually had to wait a while to check out. That is unusual for Target. Also unusual was the fact that none of the employees greeted me throughout the store. I worked at Target for 5 years, so I know what is expected of the employees and how the store is supposed to run. I was trained in on almost every area of the store. Maybe that's not the way it works anymore. I think Target is suffering from the same thing as everywhere else. They have to take whatever employees they can get and can't train them all the way they need to. I'd rather shop at Target than Walmart any day of the week. Unfortunately, my town does not have a Target. I was not intending to leave a negative review, but I was prompted by Target to answer a survey today, and part of that was being honest and then leaving a review here. This was the Target in Virginia, Minnesota. I feel bad now, so I just have to reiterate that I absolutely love Target. Just always try to do better. And remember that you're better...

Half the items on Target Circle (cartwheel) are never in the Virginia store-they're not out of stock, they just don't carry them at all! So why are they even on Circle? The older lady cashier that works at night is nice enough but we just had to wait 15 minutes while she gabbed with the guy in front of us. It was the only lane open with a cashier and we had a full cart so didn't want to self checkout. Being friendly is one thing but sitting there having a conversation minutes long during and after you scan people's items slowly is crazy. We've been on our feet all day, we don't want to stand here listening to you chat while waiting to check out; we want to go home! We also saw at least 2 other workers who ignored us. They saw the situation and didn't open another line (there was also another lady behind us). Self checkouts were full. No reason these workers just hanging around can't actually do some work. Unacceptable...

This target is beautifully laid out and well stocked. It is clean and well organized. Love all their decor products! I also enjoy that they now have a produce section! Unfortunately, their pricing on their products are not all correct, after leaving we noticed we paid more for multiple items (6). Thankfully a customer service representative has contacted us after we informed them of this to get our refund! Also the way they dealt with us in checkout was not the best, they had to re scan every single item the person a head of us was trying to purchase, they told us it might be a while. They did not offer to take us in a different line right away just told us we might want to move to a different line even though we had been waiting almost ten minutes already while the lady was trying to figure out...
