So there I was, suddenly standing inside of this liquor establishment. "How in the h-e- double hockey sticks did I get here?!". I became a little bit more than the usual, you know . . . average amount embarrassed; for I had literally said this out loud for any liquor-consuming patron to hear. The gnome replied, "you probably bought it, you nim-wit.". After a few seconds of confusion, I settled on the great possibility he (or she) was indeed hard-of-hearing, most presumably (and quite erroneously, I may add) mistakingly thought I said "beer" rather than "here.". The store just off southbound US 53 has the same "feel" as some of the better wine stores in Washington, DC, where you can poke around and make some new discoveries, without being plagued by "helicopter" staff and floor walkers.
