Dollar Tree — Local services in Visalia

It’s probably the best dollar tree in Visalia as for stock & product wise, but the managers are extremely rude and unprofessional. I’ve been coming here for over 3 years, and they recently had a large setup at the window for their applications and it said that they were hiring. I mentioned that I was interested in applying to the male manager the day I saw it and asked if he would also like a copy of my physical resume for good measure and letting him know I was interested in the job. He dismissed me immediately and snapped that they only take online applications and to take my resume elsewhere. This came off as rude so I just moved on and figured I’d apply online. The next few days I applied online, and two days after I figured I would call to let someone know I applied online and that I was interested, I was very polite and just trying to be proactive and show I’m interested. The manger I spoke with this time was female was very rude and told me they are not hiring (mind you, their “hiring” posters are still up in-store as well as the career table at the front)… if you guys aren’t hiring, then don’t put up a bunch of posters claiming you are hiring and be disrespectful over someone’s genuine curiosity and attempts to be productive? It was so unprofessional and I’m glad they aren’t hiring because no one wants a manager as unprofessional and angry as those two. I feel bad for the regular employees. They have to deal with that attitude and suck it up? The managers seriously had the patience and discipline of a teenager. Immediately hostile for no reason and zero compassion or respect for others.

I live around the corner from the dollar tree so I was very excited to see that a new dollar tree was opening around the corner! The last two experiences I've had have been awful and it's been with the same individual working. I believe his name is Brandon must be some sort or supervisor or maybe manager? I hope not manager because the service he provides is extremely unexceptable!

First incounter was not with me but a person in front of me who was trying to return an item, the cashier told her she wouldn't be able to return the item! (Cashier was very nice) customer requested to speak to the manager so Brandon peaks his head out from the little room with his head phones on and says speaks to the customer from the room with his head poking out instead of coming over to the customer and backing his employee up! He says no and shuts the door. Leaving his cashier there vonerable with the customer yelling demanding to speak to the regional! Brandon peaks his head out one more time and says I don't have a number for a regional you can google it! Still standing behind the door with his headphones on and shuts thre door leaving his employee and the customer speechless by his lack of effort and professionalism.

My second occupance was this Friday. The dollar tree closes at 9! My daughter and I went to he store at 8:50 to get batteries and the door was locked, Brandon comes to the door and states that he is closing up for hen night and getting customers out of the store and no one else will be let in.

So thank you Brandon for your lack of professionalism, your lack of management skills and looking like you just rolled out of bed, I love the dollar tree but I will never go back to...

I have to write a review for this dollar tree because Mirella and Emily went ABOVE AND BEYOND when it comes to customer service! I had an order sent to the store that never arrived. They called customer service multiple times to resolve the issue and get a refund issued to me. I ended up reordering and having the items shipped to my house. Then, without me asking, when the product I had tried ordering was restocked at their store Mirella called me and told me she would hold the items for me if my order did not end up arriving or if my items were damaged.
