The place always interested me as it seems like a popular place with good meats and foods, so one day I decided to go in after work. This was just after just moving to California not too long ago and I was in the process of having all of my information transferred over to this state.
I stopped in after work to pick up a 6-pack of beer so that I could go home and chill. The lady at the counter asked to see my I.D. and due to it being from another state (the new one was in the process of being mailed to me at the time) refused to sell it to me. The identification was valid and not expired and I even offered that she either punch the numbers into the register to prove it was legit or take down the number for reference and she still refused to sell it to me.
Unfortunately I have to score this review on what I was given in terms of service and not necessarily products and it was pretty terrible. This is the only place I have ever been refused a purchase due to having an out of state identification and I likely will not...
Read moreWe have purchased fajitas, tamales, etc. from Rodeo's Meat Market in Vista for years. However, yesterday, our order for our family's Christmas dinner, was an hour plus late being ready & then, we found out our 4 dozen order of tamales was not right. I had ordered 4 dozen tamales a couple of weeks ago: 2 dozen pork & 2 dozen beef. When our son went to pick them up, as I was working, he was told that there was no beef & that I was called in the morning. Just now my husband & I went in person to Rodeo's to speak to the manager. She said nothing. Sylvia, the one who had left a message on my phone, gave every excuse as to why the order was changed. It doesn't make sense as to why a meat market didn't have beef ie. our beef tamales unless they were sold to someone else, which is what we think happened. I would not recommend this store to anyone. You will be highly disappointed in the lack of customer service & unsatisfactory follow through of your order. David...
Read moreAccessibility: there were a few accessible parking spots here and a ramp to get from the parking lot to the store entrance. The door to enter was a motion-activated door and they did have regular shopping carts and hand-held baskets. The isles were a little narrow but you could fit a wheelchair through as long as people move out of your way...there were lots of people. The employees speak Spanish and English.
Experience: the parking lot is VERY full here and it's tight. I saw people parking their cars on the street outside the parking lot and walking. Inside the store there were TONS of people. Very busy on a Monday (Labor day), especially in the meat section...
