Showstoppers Martial Arts — Local services in Wake Forest

Showstoppers is our family now. My three boys and I learn Shotokan karate there. Sensei Williams is a great teacher, working very hard to make sure that his students learn technique and character moreso than merely advancing through belts. Sensei wants to make sure that his students are prepared for life situations that are thrown at them. He makes sure that we understand how each movement can be used in a combat situation, where necessary. He works to ensure that students maintain focus in his classroom and in life, and also stresses physical toughness and fitness. Sensei is also supported by a number of black belts who helped students learn katas and proper form, and sensei encourages an environment we're higher belts should always help the lower belts learn. My 9 year old has been attending Showstoppers for the past year and has learned patience, focus, discipline along with many other life skills at this Dojo. Sensei Ronnie does a fabulous job of teaching the Kata while Sensei Austin shows amazing mastery of the Kata for the students to strive to achieve. They are a great Father Son duo because they really deliver why mastery through repetition is important. They are really good role models in my son's life and everyone in the Dojo feels...

This is an awesome school to learn the art of Karate. The Sensei's are very skilled at their craft and have a great way of working with the students.
