Follow-Up Review (Aug 2025)
It’s been over a year since I first shared how thrilled I was with Skyler’s progress at Mathnasium. The journey since then is not without its challenges - math is still not her favorite subject - but the support here never wavered. Revati, who now leads the center, and tutors like Falcon built a connection with Skyler that helps keep her engaged, even on the tougher days.
Skyler still she freezes on concepts she’s was showed before, but the patience, creativity, and encouragement from the team help her get past those blocks. I’m grateful for how they continue to meet her where she is, celebrate her small wins, and remind her that progress isn’t always a straight line. Mathnasium is still giving her more than math skills - they’re giving her the confidence to keep going.
My Review (Oct 2024)
My daughter started at Mathnasium two months ago, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the progress she’s made. Math was never her favorite subject, and she used to struggle with basic addition and multiplication, even on paper. But thanks to Josh and his incredible team at Mathnasium, she’s now adding and multiplying numbers in her head with confidence and without hesitation.
One of the things I really appreciate is how the team allowed me to sit with her during a few sessions to help her focus. At first, she could barely complete two pages in an hour because she got easily distracted by others in the room and by getting up for water breaks. Now, she’s consistently completing 10 to 12 pages per session on her own and even did 18 pages in an hour the other day. The confidence she’s gaining in math is remarkable, and it’s clear that she’s also picking up important life skills like focus and perseverance.
Thank you, Josh and the entire Mathnasium team, for creating such a supportive and effective learning environment for my daughter. You’re not just teaching her math; you’re helping her build confidence and life skills that will...
Read moreI can’t say enough about how helpful Mathnasium (Walnut Creek) has been for my two boys since middle school and throughout high school. My eldest son reached a turning point in 7th grade where he struggled in math. He was falling behind and he disliked math. He was in the advanced math but wanted to take the easier path. So, he started to go to Mathnasium and reluctantly took advanced math in 8th grade. Mathnasium helped him through every chapter and he received an A grade both semesters of advanced math. In addition, Mathnasium helped him to ask questions which he hesitated to do before. He is no longer afraid to ask for help. Mathnasium also helped him complete his assignments on time. This has been true even throughout his advanced math classes in high school. Further, the Director Ms. Revati and her instructors are so supportive of their students. My son had a busy schedule in high school and the staff at Mathnasium have been patient and always worked with us to accommodate his schedule and find ways to get him extra tutoring before exams. I have Mathnasium to thank for always checking in with us and our son on his progress. I believe my son would not be where he is at today if of were not for Mathnasium. He gained the confidence in math to want to take AP Calculus his senior year even though he did not need that class to graduate. He also took a placement test for college and reached a high level math placement for his business major. If you find your child is falling behind or lacks confidence in math, I believe Mathnasium can help turn that around, as they did for my son. Thank you Mrs. Revati and staff...
Read moreWe had heard good things about Mathnasium from a family friend and I wanted my oldest to have a strong understanding of the foundations of math so we signed up my daughter. She enjoys going (especially when she would run into friends who were attending the same time slot as her) and earning cards to purchase snacks and prizes. She has been going for about two years and we are happy with how she is doing in math so we signed up her younger sister (who has been going for about a year). Both our girls seem very confident in their math and we've referred many friends (who ended up signing up) to the Center.
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, especially the Owner/Center Director, Revati. She is approachable, understanding and warm. You can tell that she wants to make math fun and approachable for the children. She also keeps parents informed on their child's progress by talking to you at pick up/drop off or letting you know that she's available to meet anytime if you need to speak with her regarding your child's progress. She also makes sure kids cross safely while walking in the crosswalk, to cross the street.
I will continue to recommend Mathnasium to those looking for math assistance/practice for...
