Having been convinced by the owner/manager that a mattress brand was fantastic and had a 10 year warranty and that the would always carry it, I bought the Restonics mattress for $2000. Two years later when the mattress was fully indented and killing my back as well as my husband's, I called to see how to get it repaired or replaced. The manger told me they didn't carry it any longer and flat out refused to help me in any way at all. I called the company in Portland and was told I would have to transport my extremely heavy and bulky California King mattress into Portland myself where then and only then would they make the determination if it was 'bad enough' that they would be obliged to honor their warranty and fix it. Don't forget, this would mean I would have no bed in the meantime. Then, if it was fixed or not, which could take 2 weeks, I would have to go back into Portland to pick it up. I called J&S again just to see if they would help with any of this and how crazy it was and wa again rebuffed and told it was my problem. T&C furniture once loaned me a couch for the weekend (because I had company coming into town) while I waited for the couch I had ordered to arrive. No charge for delivery or removal. THAT IS SERVICE!!
I will never bother to go into J&S since they abandon their product lines and leave their customers to fend for themselves when something goes wrong. If the company had gone out of business, I would be more forgiving, but still would have expected better...

The quote they gave us was higher than a new dryer, so we asked them to install a new Samsung dryer we were storing in the garage, but they refused citing they only install dryers bought from them even if we paid them an installation fee. So we bought a new dryer from them so they would install it. They then hauled away the new Samsung dryer without telling us they were taking a dryer or asking which one to take (the old GE dryer was purchased through them and was inspected by them) and left the broken GE one. We rented a Penske truck to pick up the Samsung dryer to use in our new home, but when we got to the house, only the broken GE one was there. When we called them explaining the situation, Brianās response was that itās our tenantās fault because the workman on site would be asking them which dryer to take away. Keep in mind the tenant wasnāt involved in any of this and didnāt pay for any of this so therefore was NOT the customer. So, now we have to buy a 3rd dryer, not to mention the expense of renting a truck. Not only that, they took weeks to get the job done. Worst customer service and a terrible way to run a business. Itās obvious there isnāt enough competition in Clatsop County to keep them...

Someone came to inspect the dishwasher, told us we needed a part and heād get it ordered. Multiple calls to the office for weeks went unanswered and unreturned when I asked for a status.
I gave up for a while and just washed dishes by hand. I called back MONTHS later for them to tell me they never put in for the part after the first technician and theyād have to have someone come look at it again. The second technician arrived outside the window of time provided while I had to take time off work to sit there and wait.
Iām writing this while I took time off work AGAIN to come home and wait for the THIRD technician to actually fix the dishwasher. He said he came to my apartment and it was locked. Iāve been sitting right next to my open door all morning waiting.
