I normally had good experiences in this store. I rarely ever post reviews, but due to the negative experience I had today I am writing this review in hopes that others do not waste their time with a certain employee as I did today. I went in to purchase an Iphone 15 Pro for my wife and was greeted by Anthony. He informed me he had three blue Iphone 15's in stock. Perfect. We move on with the transaction. Anthony, who was pleasant at first, quickly and obviously grew frustrated with me as he was trying to upsell me to T-Mobile's newest plan, whereas I was tenured in with a better rate through Sprint before they were bought over by T mobile, and I had no intention of switching at today's visit despite multiple attempts for him to convince me otherwise. Once I let him know I did not want to switch the new plan, he abruptly went into the back to go get the Iphone and left my family and I waiting for at least 15 minutes. He then came back out, did not apologize for keeping us waiting, and informed me that they did not have any of the phones I wanted in stock. All of this is forgivable and understandable, despite annoying, but what led me to write this review was his unprofessional demeanor thereafter.
After having at least half an hour of my family's time wasted, I proceed to tell him that our interaction was over because they do not have the item in stock (despite earlier confirming there were 3 of the phone I wanted in stock), to which his answer was in an abrupt, fierce tone "it dont gotta be like that." Surprised at his unprofessional manner, especially from someone who earlier told me he has 17 years of sales experience, the conversation quickly deescalated when I told my wife that we were leaving because he gave us misleading information (whether it is true that he did not have the item in stock, or if he was being misleading/deceitful because he did not want to complete a sale without switching us to the new rate is definitely a valid question I ask myself). As we were leaving he again YELLED out halfway across the store (with a store full of customers nonetheless) "You dont gotta be like that!". As we were walking at the door he yells out "have a blessed day" in a tone of voice and volume that was clearly intended to be condescending and a reflection of his poor emotional regulation- not a good quality in a salesperson.
To summarize, from a customer perspective, I do not recommend utilizing Anthony, as he does not have your best interest at heart, and either is incompetent in his sales role to the point where he does not actively know his own inventory, or worst case scenario is malicious to the point where he will not sell you a phone because you did not agree to a new, updated plan. From a business perspective, whoever his manager is should view him as a liability and a direct barrier to retaining customers. Took my new phone(which we had to order because nothing was in stock)in on sunday after come back from travelling for my grandmothers funeral to have it set up because I didn't want to screw it up myself. The guy who "helped" put my sd card in and formated my sd card and deleted all my pictures! I saw him press the format button!(he claims it automatically started! Which was not the case!) When I questioned him as soon as he started and he told me I was wrong !the reason I'm beyond upset is I recently had several losses of loved ones in the last 3 weeks. 4 to be exact and there were pictures on there that cant be replaced!! The guy then proceeded to ask his coworker if formatting deleted photos..to which the co-worker replied yes. The guy then proceeded to call geek squad at best buy and speaking with someone to set up an appt for me because he knew he was at fault (which later he would denied any wrong doing!) . Unfortunately geek squad were unable to help. We called and spoke with customer care and had no resolve and were told we would receive a call from the store manager which has yet to happen! In all my years of having a phone have there ever been an issue with transferring my pictures to a new phone....now im left with only my memories because some untrained guy deleted everything!!! Read moreI hate cell phone stores. Normally it's a rotating door of employees that aren't helpful. Not at this store. Brandon and the manager handled a very rude and uncomfortable "client" while I was in the store with my 11 year old. He was cursing and just extremely off-putting. Brandon spoke up and noticed that my 11 year old wasn't comfortable and put a stop to it. The person was offended by his correction and left. The manager did everything to try to keep a cool head despite the persons unwelcomed behavior. The person left and they apologized for his behavior. Brandon explained to me my bill, looked into the best plan and was very thorough. There couldn't have been a better experience, but that rude person showing up. The other employee was very diligent with helping his customers as well and it showed. I'd definitely go back to that store with that kind of service again.
