Blu Dot — Local services in Washington

I reached out to blue Dot on an emergency call, as my pilot light on my furnace would not lie. Due to the old condition, their recommendation was to replace the furnace which was installed the next day. I had also asked for my water heater to be replaced, which they said could be done at the same time. They failed to communicate with the plumber and I had to take a second day off of work separately for the water heater install. I had also plan to have a booster placed on my water heater per their comfort care advisor. Again, they did not coordinate with the electrician so a third visit had to be Made for the booster to be placed. This all transpired over the course of about two weeks. Often on I had been smelling gas in my house. At no time did the other two teams, detect the gas or attempt to check. When the furnace was placed, they never checked for any gas leak. Again on an emergency call I notified them that there was a gas leak in my house. It took them 14 hours to come in and assess that they placed a faulty gas valve in my furnace which needed to be replaced. They shut down my HVAC system, and I was left without heat for myself, and my two young children. As of the time I am writing this review, four days later, I still have no heat in my house. The temperature in my house this morning was 59° and both myself and my two young children are now sick. I again contacted blue dot and they offered no solution. They said the part that was ordered 4 days ago is still not in. I was told this was a stock item and would be in within the next 24 hours. They offered no space heaters, no expedited shipping. I will be sending them my hotel and food bill since we have been without heat for the last four days and it is of no concern to them. If you value your time and your family, do not use...

If I can give 0 star, I would give it to Blu Dot. I bought a 2nd best dining table early January with a foreign issued credit card. There was a transaction issue with the purchase because of the credit card address issue or something. They did not tell me exactly what the problem was but they tried 6-7 times. 1 transaction went through as authorization (pending charge). Then they dropped the authorization because of their accounting issues (again, I am not well informed why they backed out). The drop was not reflected to my credit account (still a month later) so I asked their accounting to provide a proof that the authorization was dropped. Store manager and accounting team did not respond to my email at lease. Store manager is not returning my call (I called her 3 times this week). The sales person does not know how to handle this situation so the store manager was involved but the customer service is very poor. I am not particularly complaining about the service that DC store provides but I am complaining more about the customer service that Blu Dot provides. Worst experience ever. I still have this charge on my credit card and I can't let my credit card company know that the charge is dropped because they are not providing the proof. So poorly executed...

Customer service is completely lacking. Have had to email several times to check on my order.

The first time I emailed, they informed me that one piece in my order was backordered for an additional month.

Then I let them know that I'd like to cancel the backordered item.

They cancel the item, but of course the change is not reflected online nor do I receive a receipt of the change.

Then 18 days later, I have to call in again to check why I haven't heard anything, and they let me know that the authorization on my payment method has expired because they have taken so long to prepare the furniture and because they neglected to inform me of the prolonged delay on the backordered item in my order.

Blu Dot needs to improve their customer experience and get ahead of customer communications. This entire experience would be 10x better if I did not need to prod them about each and every little issue with this order.

It's ironic, because had I known their daybench would be backordered an additional month, I would have never ordered it and I would have likely received the bookshelf a month ago.

Also, it takes over 24 hours to receive any email reply and it seems that there is only one woman answering emails. Ugh just an unpleasant...
