I just experienced the SLOWEST gel pedicure and manicure of my life time. My nail technicians name was “Nha”. I think she must be a new nail tech because she seemed very inexperienced particularly with how to remove gel nail polish. That process took so long I wanted to run out of there. With no exaggeration, my appointment started at 5:00 PM (and I arrived on time) and by 5:40 PM I only had 1 foot with gel polish removed and she was still working and chipping away at the left foots polish. I barely got a chance to enjoy soaking my feet in the water because most of my time was spent with aluminum foil on my toes or very unnecessarily labor intensive filing taking place to remove polish and/or shape my nails. In addition, she proceeded to do what apparently was a deluxe upgrade to the gel pedicure without asking me if I wanted that. I booked my appointment online for a gel pedicure and gel manicure only, and with this having been my first time coming I had no idea what their standard gel pedicure includes to be able to tell her “no I don’t want the extra scrub or leg mask”. The only question that she did ask me was what scent of leg scrub I wanted. And then she just proceeded to start doing it. But then tried to charge me extra as if that something that I asked for or agreed to. The only thing that I had actually conveyed to her a few times was that I really needed to go soon and I tried to impress upon her that I need to leave by a certain time (that time being two hours after the appointment start time, which was by no means rushing her!) When she finally got to the manicure after the pedicure taking 90 minutes (!) I told her that I definitely don’t want any kind of scrubs, lotion, massage, towel, or anything because I just need polish on my nails and I need to leave! Even then, at the end she tried to insist on putting lotion on my hands and a hot towel after I said I don’t want that.
Ultimately, it was a frustratingly long experience, that I was almost over charged for if I hadn’t been paying attention at checkout, for nails that look pretty average to decent at best. I will not ever go back, not to see this particular nail tech especially. in addition, I do not like the overall ambience of the salon with their fluorescent lights, stark white walls, basement location, and serving of wine from plastic cups like we’re at a picnic. Absolutely not. Apparently all of the great reviews for this place are for the hair salon side of things only. But my nail salon experience today left a lot...

I don't know how this place has five stars. I had a 1pm appointment with Yvonne. When I arrived, I was told that she was eating lunch but would be back soon. I told them I had to leave at 2. They said not to worry. Yvonne appeared at 1:15. I told her I had to leave at 2. She told me not to worry because she is very fast. She then helped a colleague take pictures of another client's new haircut. We started at 1:30. I told her I was nervous because I had to leave at 2, and asked if we should reschedule. She told me again not to worry because she is very fast. She then proceeded to cut my hair-- really fast. It was so stressful. It was apparent she was rushing. She would cut one side, then the other, then take a look, and cut the first side again (presumably to make it even?), then before I knew it my hair was much shorter than I wanted. I told her it was important to me that my hair was long enough to pull back into a ponytail. But she cut it too short to put in a pony tail. On top of that, she gave me layers that are not blended, and it's embarrassing. I now have to choose between going to another salon to correct it, which would make my already too-short hair even shorter, or bearing this bad haircut while it grows out.
I debated whether one star was too harsh, because it's not like she accidently cut me with the scissors or anything. But one star feels right because of how dismissive she was of me the whole time. Getting your haircut is such a vulnerable experience-- you're putting your appearance in someone else's hands. I wanted so badly to trust her, but she didn't listen to me, and she dismissed me when I...

I wanted to start off by saying, I was really excited to go to this nail salon from everything I’ve heard about this place.
I came 30 minutes early to my 1:00 pm appointment just to find out around 1:20pm, that my nail technician wasn’t coming. I was very upset because I had to put partial deposit down prior to my visit, I wasn’t notified until after my appointment time that no one was coming, and I wasn’t able to receive a refund after the fact due to the receptionist not being there.
After leaving, I was called back 10 minutes later at 1:30 p.m. informed that my nail technician came and asking if I could come back. I tried giving this place the benefit of the doubt but when I received my pedicure, I was bothered by how many mistakes were made on my toes. My manicure was good until less than 24 hours my nail polish chipped. I wasn’t able to have the average of 2 weeks for my gel manicure to last without it already coming off the next day.
Lastly, this was my first time getting my eyebrows done at this place. I asked if my eyebrows could be cleaned and not fully waxed and I was told okay. I was very upset of how much of my eyebrows were stripped away, even after explaining to her how I would like them done.
I was very upset and disappointed with how all of these services came out and I don’t think anyone should have this first experience anywhere. There was a nice hair stylist that tried her best to uplift my experience but unfortunately i was not happy with my overall visit every after everything...
