The worst nail experience I’ve ever had. The lady who did my nails clearly is not experienced in acrylic nails, which is fine, but do not allow her to do this service. I had no problem waiting for someone with experience. She argued with me about the shape of the nail. I asked for square, specifically very square, no rounded edges— she could not do this. She blamed me saying ā€œit’s your nailsā€ — how would it be my nails when I have tips on? There’s more to this nail nightmare… One of my nails were broken. When she applied the tip, instead of comparing it to the other nails or asking me how long I wanted it, she cut it too short, claiming that she thought I ā€œwanted a cut down,ā€ although she never asked me if I wanted them cut down nor did she inquire about the length I wanted. Because she cut the tip shorter than the rest of my nails, she had to remove it (upon me asking). Instead of simply soaking my finger in nail remover, she proceeding to DRILL THE TIP OFF, basically drilling my finger nail. After I told her that it was painful, she soaked it off. Soaking it off took 3 minutes. Next, she attempted to only apply ONE layer of polish, you could see through the polish, I had to ask her to apply more layers…but there’s more. At the end, she places a scolding hot towel on my hands, burning me. I jumped and left! As I paid, I told the receptionist the experience was terrible (and I still tipped), and nothing was done. I paid $50 for this fill in. Several of other employees, including the manager saw how badly this experience was going because the nail salon is ridiculously small, and said and did NOTHING. I will never return to this nail salon. Extremely unprofessional and terrible. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want the most basic service there is and, honestly, I wouldn’t even trust them to do that.

Let me begin by saying two things: I think it all depends on who you get as a nail tech here. The first time I went was a great experience, but the second experience will be my last. The second thing- I have only ever felt the need to write one other review on Google in my life, a positive one. I came in with dip nails with extensions and my nails were finally at the length I wanted under the extensions to go naturally. I asked for dip powder. The nail tech did not ask me the length I wanted, but I told her I would like to keep my natural nails underneath the same length. She immediately cut off a significant amount of length, ruining all of the progress I had from growing my nails for the past several weeks. She was extremely rough with my hands and was in a rush the entire time. When she was using the buffing tool around my nails, I was cut on two fingers. I winced, and she chuckled and asked if I was okay. I thought she might go more gently moving forward but it continued. Later, she put a gel product on my nails that caused the cuts to sting significantly. I winced again, and she said it was normal to feel some stinging. I have been getting my nails done for 10 years and have never had that kind of pain. Again, she used nail polish remover at the end, paying no mind or attention to the cuts on my fingers, causing them to burn and sting again. The entire experience felt hostile and rushed, and I left on the verge of tears. I was very excited the first time I came here, but I will never return after the careless and terrible experience I had today. I know people make mistakes, but the response I received when I was bleeding was enough to never return.

Nancy does the most beautiful job SO QUICKLY!! She shapes my nails in the blink of an eye and lays dip on perfectly. Trust her process, ask no questions, seriously, they are incredible. EDIT: I added more photos from my recent visit with Nancy! Like I said before, I think the negative reviews are from people who went in blind. There definitely can be long wait times for pedicures but I don’t mind that because it’s so affordable and the people are very nice. I think how much you like your acrylics SPECIFICALLY is dependent on who takes care of you. Everyone is nice, not everyone is equally skilled at all services. Nancy gets the job done perfectly in 45 mins - 1 hour. EDIT AGAIN: Back again to add more nail pictures for you because Nancy stays CRUSHING it. I’ve been going to District for three years now and I want to give a few additional shoutouts. I am a consistent customer to Van for spa pedicures and she is simply the loveliest and nicest person and does a wonderful job. And when my last set had a nail that broke, the man who runs the front desk offered to fix it for me so my set would last until my appointment a couple days later! I feel so taken care of at District and genuinely love going, it is a real sanctuary of peace for me!

Sorry but I wasn't too impressed by the staff or services at this nail salon. I scheduled an appointment on 10/03/2020 for dipping powder manicure, gel pedicure, and eyebrow wax. Unfortunately, I had to file off the dipping powder nail color due to chipping around the nail tips after only having it for about a week and half. The owner (I'm assuming) named Linda did my dipping powder manicure and eyebrow wax. She totally BUTCHERED MY EYEBROWS. I told her that I like them thick and too not take too much off and she did the total opposite. Now I have to grow out my eyebrows again and get them back to the way they were, FULL and THICK, NOT SUPER NARROW and THIN. When I told her that she messed up my eyebrows and that she took too much off, she RUDELY and ARROGANTLY stated something in her native language after I complained about her messing up my eyebrows.

As far as my dipping powder manicure, she (Linda) did offer to fix any of my nails if I have any issues with them, to just come back. I do not plan to return back to the place. I didn't get good vibes from this place. Also, the lady ( Ana or Anna) who did my gel pedicure was very rough and didn't give me the correct pedicure that I wanted. I wanted the one that cost $55, not $65. She also watched me like a hawk as I went to go pay for all services before leaving. I initially got a quote of $110 over the phone and when I came in and asked for the price upfront. They told me my total was $110 with a debit/credit card but $105 with cash. After going back and forth with the owner (Linda), she compromised and charged me the $105 as stated when I arrived for my appointment.

With all that being said, I do give them (2) stars for the following: Practicing social distancing with having customers sit at every other pedicure, massage chair. You also have to sign some sort of COVID-19 waiver/ paperwork which doesn't protect the customer but more so the business. They don't want to be liable if you get symptoms after visiting their establishment. The guy who works at the front desk was very nice...
