Jo Malone London — Local services in Washington

I’ve bought a lot of cologne and gifts from Jo Malone over the years. I absolutely love their products but my experience in DC was not so favorable. I entered the store and the associated said hi. We walked around the store and I picked up some lotion that was nice but was rudely told to put it down because it’s a “no touch experience.” The associate yelled from across the store when she could have walked over to me and told me politely. There were other customers in the store at the time. I thanked her for telling me and put the lotion down. There is really no need to scream across the store about your “no touch experience”. I have a hearing disability which prevents me from hearing people sometime when they talk, and apologize if I was previously told about their “no touch experience” when I entered the store. Just a tad unprofessional for a sales associate to yell like that in a boutique store. It’s a bottle of cologne - not a Rolex. I am absolutely in loooooove with Jo Malone London and the Washington, D.C. City Center location. Every time I visit the store which is in the heart of Washington, D.C., I have an amazing experience. I enjoy the fact that this location has a special way of actually connecting with the customers. My experience never felt transactional, and each store representative is warm and inviting. Most recently the store offered a wreath making class and it was absolutely fun. I’ve never made a wreath so I was skeptical but up for the challenge. Oscar, the florist that instructed the event, was very detailed and patient while we each made these wonderful pieces of art. They’ve also had events for floral bouquet making which all ties into the wonderfully created scents you can find at Jo Malone. I often always work with the ever so pleasant Milena. She keeps me up-to-date on all the new releases, promotions, you name it. Stop in this holiday day season and tell them Michael said hello. They are truly like...

Honestly, this was the best experience I’ve ever had at a Joe Malone store. I’ve been purchasing perfumes from this brand for a few years on and off, I’ve always had a pleasant experience, but the consultant in this store honestly honestly blew me away. Ozian, was spectacular. I was just going in for my regular grapefruit repurchase, and she spoke with me about layering sense and the formula she uses to make sure everything matches. She worked with me to find different styles I might like and made a bunch of recommendations. She took her time was extremely personable and attentive. Honestly, I will only order from the store in the future even if a though I don’t live in the area. I never once felt rushed, and it really felt like a true luxury experience, picking out the scent that would work for me.
