Unprofessional and Disrespectful Sales Associate
I visited the Burberry boutique yesterday and was truly disappointed by the behavior of one of the sales associates. As soon as I walked in, he made an inappropriate and condescending comment about my Coach handbag, asking if it was “an old bag.” I politely replied that I had purchased it just two weeks ago, but he went on to joke about whether I “liked vintage stuff.”
This kind of attitude is completely unacceptable — it shows a lack of class, respect, and basic customer service training. A salesperson should never insult or judge a customer’s personal belongings, especially in a luxury brand store that claims to represent elegance and refinement.
You never know who walks into your store — a potential client, a loyal customer, or even someone evaluating your service. I chose to remain calm and polite, but this associate of Asian descent clearly crossed the line. His behavior was not only offensive but also embarrassing for his colleague, who seemed visibly uncomfortable with his remarks.
After leaving Burberry, I went to Bulgari, where the manager herself welcomed me warmly and treated me with true professionalism. That’s the difference between someone who knows how to sell and someone who simply wears a badge without understanding what luxury really means.
If this associate continues representing your brand, Burberry should seriously reconsider its standards — because arrogance, judgment, and disrespect have no place in...
Read moreMy husband needed to exchange a Christmas gift for me that was too large. The DC location assisted him today January 30, 2023, however, he was told the selection I wanted was not in stock and they would order the item to arrive to our home.
Shortly after he left the store, they called me (his wife) and said they did not have his number in the system so they were calking me. A sales person identified herself as Shaneniqa told me they in fact had the item and he should turn come back immediately.
I called my husband and reluctantly returned to the store bc there was a protest or some kind of demonstration in the city. Once he re-parked and we t inside, he was told she forgot to have him sign the return slip. He asked incredulously why did they call me (his wife) and why lie to his wife. She advised him that she did not tell his wife that.
Burberry has gone down in the quality people they hire. This young lady is a poor example of a high end store. I am really thinking about returning all the items he purchased. I don't need the items as I have so much Burberry, I could start my own store. This brand should be ashamed of itself, hiring ppl with zero integrity. I plan on calling their corporate...
Read moreI purchased my trench coat earlier today, thanks to assistance from Mr Brady Wright who works at the Burberry store in Washington DC on 970 I Street NW Washington DC 20001. Just like last week when i first came in to try on the coats to get an idea of fitting and size perfect for me, Mr Wright greeted me, and other customers, as we walked into the store respectfully and politely. He is very polite and goes above and beyond to answer all customer questions and help them with whatever they may need to measure on (whether it be multiple sizes or different colors/styles of clothing) or checkout. Mr Wright also assisted me in monograming my Burberry trench coat and ordered it right there with me. I am very very very satisfied by the customer service I received today from Mr Brady Wright and wanted to let you all know personally what a great job he did in assisting me on such a short timely notice as I was in a rush to return to work. Excellent customer service skills do not go without notice, especially when most of the time individuals criticize the customer service. so I wanted to let you all know how much great hospitality i received so you all go to Burberry on I Street in NW DC and ask for Mr....
