Aura spa - Logan Circle — Local services in Washington

My husband and I are on vacation in DC and decided to treat ourselves to a massage and spa experience. We looked up Aura and decided to try it. We arrived early for our appointment but no one was in the spa yet so we waited in the Lobby of the Vida Gym. Our massage therspists arrived just minutes before our appointment. Jordan did a great job with my massage. He was very respectful. It was very relaxing. My one disappointment was at the end I was covered in massage oil. I didn’t want to just put on my cloths so I asked where I could access the shower. He provided me with a robe and I waited for my husband to come out so we could shower. I would really have appreciated if he could have used some towels to clean off the oil. We were taken down stairs to the showers and shown the sauna and steam room. My sister booked a 90-minute massage for us as an early Christmas gift. I do NOT like to be touched, and a massage is something that I would never book for myself, but I know how beneficial they are and appreciate how I feel afterward. My masseuse (did not get his name) was professional and attentive, focusing on my upper body per my request as I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck. Afterward I felt much more relaxed, and like a lot of tension had been lifted from my shoulders, literally and figuratively!
