Superb setting, sound system, and service! The team members at Sandlot Anacostia were timely and hospitable as we discussed then coordinated vendors for an event with an audience of over 600. Their bar is well stocked and they have signature beverages and menus that include fresh cold press juice! The restroom facilities are easily accessible and are outfitted like an indoor venue with temperature control, flush toilets, and running water. The space is supportive of multiple food truck vendors, photography backdrops, and dinning en mass. During the event that I hosted at Sandlot Anacostia, we utilized a stage, two step and repeats, a resource fair with 12 vendors, an open bar, a live DJ, a muralist with live art, catered food, a food truck, as well as registration and gift tables. Ride-share services easily navigate pickups and drop offs; while the Anacostia metro station, Douglas Bridge, and Suitland Parkway provide easy access for patrons traveling from across the DMV. Without reservation, I highly recommend Sandlot Anacostia for rental as a private venue as well as great time outdoors with a phenomenal ambiance and breathtaking view!

Sandlot Anacostia is truly a gem! Every event feels like a nostalgic throwback to my days on Morgan State’s campus with good music, great energy, and a beautiful sense of community. The vibes are always on point with delicious food vendors (yes, even vegetarian options!) and tasty drinks and mocktails to match. I love that you can sit down for a game of Uno with strangers at the picnic table and walk away with new friends. Plus, the location is super convenient with accessible parking at the Metro kiss and ride. If you’re looking for a dope spot to unwind, connect, and soak up the culture this is it!

Went here for a MVMENT Event for DC Black Wine and Food and it was a pretty cool space. There is parking on the streets nearby. There is space to bring chairs for seating as well as picnic tables. There is a bar and a raised patio. They had food trucks and win booths to try out food. There was a concert with a DJ as well. There were views of the bridge and the Nationals Stadium nearby. Nice use of that pretty underdeveloped space. Easy to access as well.
