The Yards Marina — Attraction in Washington

Stayed there for two months in the summer and during a four week timespan had 3 incidents. 1st was at 4AM when kids were messing with bikes and fire extinguishers. They climbed on a couple boats and even opened the door to the inside with people sleeping down below. Second incident was a 7-8 year old running up on boats all over the marina and eventually even untied a boat that was floating out into the river until police brought it back into the harbor. The third and final straw was when I saw someone through my nest camera climbing up onto my flybridge and opening cabinets etc. at 2:30 AM.

The marina folks are nice and the marina is in good shape but they need 24 hour security, period. It's a shame because the location is amazing but not worth the hassle or risk of people all over the docks that shouldn't be there. ...

The area is very nice with the new boardwalk and plenty of restaurants around and things to do, including kayak and SUP rentals, bike stations and running trails. You can dock your boat for $30/day but you need to call ahead of time. No reservations allowed. Taking one star off because of all the trash floating in the water and the ice cream shop doesn’t...

Fantastic Marina, wonderful location. Richard takes pride in the condition and cleanliness of the docks and ammenities and his work ethic and communication with patrons continues to impress.
