I take my son here for swim classes. We have had a great experience with our instructor and really enjoy the class. It's really great we can attend the class without being a member!
Our first few experiences with the women at the front desk were always pleasant and welcoming. However, we had arrived for our class and we were informed it was canceled due to the Holidays. We had not recieved and email about this, and after speaking to others, they also did not recieve anything. This wasn't the issue though. The woman at the desk who informed us of this was extremely rude and condescending. She made us feel as though we had done something wrong and was extremely unfriendly. We then go to the class a few weeks later and the same woman had met us with the same attitude. She doesn't seem to have the greatest people skills, and has the most unfriendly, and unwelcoming demeanor. It's unfortunate because this is the first person you see upon entering, and she comes off as hostile. The other workers have all been great,...
Read moreIt's sad that I was never even said Hi too, until the water aerobics instructor confronted me in a very negative way. I thought She was coming over to me with positive energy. I was told that I was the reason for the water bubbles in the whirlpool 😪. She asked me about my swimming attire, and as long as I've been here nothing was ever said about my swim wear. I'm at the YMCA for therapeutic reasons, and I have knee surgeries scheduled already. Why pick on someone that's elderly & disabled. I wish they would have came to me early on, as professional staff members. I'm a woman of color, and I feel like I'm being discriminated against here. I am a resident and have an active membership, I deserve respect. I never really communicated with anyone here & they never made me feel welcomed either. They stare at me like I'm a foreign object when I'm there. I have overlooked everything until they came to me with these accusations. Wow, I need this place at this time in my life. God knows my heart, I pray...
Read moreThe preschool is great and the teachers are fantastic. The building is very old and it doesn't appear like any renovations have been done. The staff is mostly friendly, but a little pushy for my liking. As members we have to check in at the front desk, the person working the front desk is older and sometimes "forgets" if you have checked in, they have made me check in twice within 5 minutes before. I understand it's a little hard to keep track of everyone who has checked in, but when I told him I just checked in, he questioned me and then said he didn't believe me and made me dig back in my purse to get my phone to check in again. Every time I go there to drop off my daughter for preschool I literally run in and out with my head down or else I be asked by staff if I'm going to be working out? Why Not? You don't have time? Why? What are you going to be doing? Lol it's a bit much and pretty annoying. After June 2017, when my daughter finishes preschool, we aren't going to continue...
