From the beginning I will say that our presence was not very welcome by the bald person who was at the counter… a gentleman who is only cheerful when Americans come in or leave, but when he saw us he only said in English “how many are coming to eat”not a Hi or Welcome … no. Well and we answered in English “4” and with a bad mood he called the waiter… the waiter was very smiling and kind, who directed to our table and brought the menu, and another waitress was also very smiling and greeted us. Our waiter was very nervous, I will say that he asked us the minute we sat down what were we going to have?? and well, as soon as I sat down, did I need time…?? even so he was kind and we will let it pass but it seemed like they were in a hurry for us to hurry, we asked for a melted cheese appetizer and I want to say that it seemed like only two tablespoons of cheese… nothing new the flavor and sprinkled chorizo on top, we immediately ordered my little boy’s food, which was a pancake and sausage which was delicious, our meal a grill for two people was like one for $42 dollars! and some cold enchiladas for my mother… I mean, the food of 5 stars, really look 3 for the price and size, even no cutlery on our table we take from the other table next to us. The person who greeted us at the beginning, was the person bring our food…I can say he threw the plates on the table at us and when we said thank you he didn’t answer, I mean that we are Latinos and your restaurant is Latino, what is the point of putting that bad vibe? are only Americans welcome? My Son lives in the Carroll University apartments and it was a good opportunity to be our place but I want to say that we will not return. An extra there were Americans who looked at us so bad and racist the same like the bald person… but for yo know I paid for my meal of $107.41 and left a tip of $20 so gentlemen of the Sun of Mexico I did not ask for...
Read moreMy word how to describe the meal I just had on Father's day. Well it wasn't great. I ordered the queso dish appetizer. It was literally a little melted cheese with chorizo on top. They took shredded blanco and melted it. I literally cut into it with my fork. It was so greesy because of the microwave melting process that there was a small pool on the plate.
My wife is a vegan she ordered tostadas with no meat, cheese, or sour cream but add some avocados. The thing came it had TONS of cheese and sour cream on it. Yet they seemed to miss the avocados.
Nothing seemed to be seasoned at in anyone's meal. I had the burrito sizio. It tasted like they took the chicken out of the back of the can warmed it slightly and threw it on a burrito.
The service wasn't amazing as the waitress would leave for like 10 to 15 minutes just to get us drinks. I get it though it was busy and I am also prone to loosing track of things sometimes.
Overall it was not a good experience I will not be going back. There are several other great Mexican restaurants in the waukesha area. I suggest you visit one of...
Read moreSo I went for lunch as I was nearby at an appointment and live to try new Mexican placed. I allowed the waiter to recommend something for me and he said the chimichangas were good so I accepted. My drink was out immediately and my food was served within 10 minutes. It was very satisfyingly quick. For the negatives of the visit. I felt like all the food was a little bland. Even the salsa was sort of blah. Also I had to steal silverware from a nearby table because they forgot to bring me any. Other than that it's a charming little place that's bigger inside than the outside...
