Short review: We're very happy with Gallery 1 and their manager Chris Audley.

Longer review: We originally purchased two large, matted, glassed and framed prints in March, 2021 from a large, online outfit. Our items arrived with multiple issues, including scratches on the prints and the wrong glass. Several re-orders of replacements had the same issues and more.

We weren't happy. We canceled our order in November and got a refund after eight wasted months.

We then searched for a local place, starting with the artsy, craftsy chain stores. No luck. They had neither the frame nor matte glass we wanted.

In early December, we found Gallery 1 in Waukesha. Hallelujah! In short, Chris delivered what we wanted, for a reasonable price, and by my wife's Christmas deadline.

Lots of praise for Chris, here. He had to work with the same online outfit (multiple times) as they were the only source for our prints. He found the frame and matte glass we wanted, and was very patient with my questions.

We're happy with the final results. We could have saved a lot of time and trouble had we started...

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! Long story short I had a painting shipped to me (Sep 2020) and the frame which was polystyrene was damaged in transit. I got a new frame but then I discovered that almost no framing shops are familiar or willing to work with this type of frame. I called DOZENS of frame shops. Found one in Tosa, they did not know how to put it together and broke the second frame. Got another new frame and called dozens of frame shops again before I talked to Chris at Gallery 1. He is absolutely the best around!!! He explained the frame and materials and made sure he did research to make sure it was done correctly and finally ended my 5 month long framing Nightmare (FEB 2021). He put my 3rd frame together perfectly, he was knowledgeable and did quick work and QUALITY work. I will never in my life go to another frame shop as long as Gallery 1 is still in business. Avoid the hassle and headache of dealing with another shop and go right to Gallery 1. I promise you will not regret it! Thank you...

During a recent trip to Prague, I bought a watercolor painting from a street artist. The watercolor painting had a very immediate special place in my heart, so I wanted to have a nicer frame to display it in. Gallery 1 was highly recommended by a family member, so I took my watercolor painting and a scratch off world map to them. They took the time to help me pick out the best frame for the scratch off map and when it came to this watercolor painting, he asked me to describe my interaction with the street artist, what I saw in Prague and even asked about the architecture I saw. Needless to say, when I picked up my pieces, I was literally blown away with especially the watercolor painting! Gallery 1 did an amazing job! They even included a photocopy of the artist’s signature on the back of the frame! Superb attention to detail, excellent customer service and they made my artwork look incredible!
