Phoenix Mobile Grill — Restaurant in Waukesha

Everything they make is spectacular! We have tried pretty much everything on the menu and loved everything we have eaten. My husband found this food truck when I was on a strict diet while nursing my son with food allergies (dairy and soy allergies). It is near impossible to go out to restaurants when you’re avoiding certain foods. He read the story and background of the owners of this truck so we gave it a try. We have always been huge fans of tacos, so we tried the steak and pastor tacos. Of course they were amazing and allergy friendly, as we requested. We spoke with the owner and she knew exactly what we could safely eat on their menu. I am now able to eat normal again but my now toddler still has allergies. We are so happy to have Phoenix mobile grill as an option for dinner because we know and trust that their food will be safe for our son and that it will be the most delicious food we eat. It’s hard to limit our favorite items to a list because I would tell you the entire menu but our usual go to items are tacos (Korean beef, steak, Al pastor, and shrimp) and their gyros are amazing as well! I recommend this place to everyone because they are so yummy and the service is great! But especially for allergy friendly food- you really can’t beat this place!

This is my first time trying Phoenix mobile grill. By looking at the reviews, I was shocked to see a food truck with a 5 star rating in Waukesha. I also visited their online website to get a look at the menu before arriving. I was amazed by the unique dishes they make but also common Mexican dishes other food trucks have. Actions speak louder than words, so I had to see for myself what the Waukesha community is talking about. For takeout, I ordered, 10 carne asada tacos, 2 elotes, 2 coconut horchatas & 1 horchata for myself, my mother and brother. The tacos have an excellent taste. The tortillas are big, meat is tender, well cooked, and well served. Not to mention, they do give you enough limes and salsas!! I do like how they noted the drinks with what it is. We definitely enjoyed the coconut horchata more than the original. 10/10. Lastly, the corn is delicious. It has lime added on before so it blends in well with everything else. Really great spread of options for a good truck. There are actually quite a few vegan and gluten free options to choose from.

I had the three vegan tacos- the tofu and avocado one was my favorite. There was also a bean one that I thought was black beans but was refried beans. It wasn't my favorite but the flavors were still great. The Korean taco though was absolutely delicious. My husband had a barbacoa burrito and said it was phenomenal.

We also got one side of rice and one side of elote corn (which can also be made vegan). I would not get either again. The rice was mushy, and I make better Mexican rice at home. The elote corn was fine, but it seemed pricey at $5 for what you got.
