Goodwill Waveland Retail Store & Donation Center — Local services in Waveland

I’m very disappointed in this location of goodwill today. I went in just to browse and waste some time. I instead came across a very nice recliner in pretty good shape and spent about 10 minutes in front of it making sure it works and nothing was wrong. I then took the tag off in order to bring it to the counter to purchase but I proceeded to walk around the store to look some more. When I got to the counter I handed the cashier the tag for the recliner only to be told she just sold it to a lady and she had just walked to the back to get the tag. I then was kind of confused as to how she sold it without the tag so I left but quickly went back into the store because I wanted he recliner that was rightfully owed to me since I did what I was suppose to and had the tag. The manger then tells me that I was right that is how it suppose to work but she can’t just refund the lady her money and that she did address it to the cashier. I’m not much of an aruguer so I just left but I’m very upset and I will no longer shop there. It’s very sad because it was my favorite one. P.S. to the RUDE lady who bought the chair you knew I was looking at that chair and about to buy it so...

This Goodwill store is clean, neat, well organized, and the employees are very polite and helpful. Something that I despise about the Goodwill corp. is that the prices are always too high. I am proud to say that I have achieved a level in my life that I can afford to buy whatever I choose at a Goodwill store so please don't take this the wrong way but aren't ALL of the items sold at a Goodwill store donated? Given to the store by the good people of America in order to help others in need? If so, then why aren't the prices lower because Goodwill stands to make a profit regardless if they do not pay for any of the products that they...

They do realize that this is a donation based organization, DON'T THEY? meaning. ....... Asking 20$ on some free Christmas decorations seems a bit much. And if the merchandise is a upscale brand T-shirt it might be as much as 20 dollars also rather than the normal 3$ or so for a t-shirt.
