This is to help those so they don't end up making the same mistake/decision by going here, spending time and money. *
Save your money, your time, and your energy. You have to remember to put in your own effort.
There's the Pharmacy Technician program. [Book] The Pharmacy Technician Sixth Edition
Please do your research. Not every college/institute is like Fortis, Pharmacy certification is false. Please Do Not Quit because of this. Please go back to school when it's possible for you to go back.
There is ServSafe certification. This is valid. There's ServSafe Manager, Food Handler, Alcohol, Allergens and ServSafe Workplace.
If you are currently working in Fast Food, your not suppose to be working the sandwich station without the ServSafe certification - Food Handler. But they let people work the sandwich station anyway which is weird.
If you need a job ASAP there is Fast food / Retail / Stores
Consider it and think carefully about before making a decision. Work on and create a resume (some places you may need a resume and some do not).
If decide to work in fast food, Good luck getting out of there someday. After working there to find a different job somewhere else and furthering education. Understandable to work throughout and keep in mind that it's not just fast food may need to think and figure out outside of that for a job/career change.
There is outside of Fast food if eventually someday would want to work in the food industry (Catering, Restaurant, Pastry Chef, etc). There is Culinary School.
If becoming a Pharmacy Technician is something you want to do, study, genuinely will work in and to take the exam to become certified. It's not just the money/job part. If this what you feel you want unless you feel otherwise and eventually feel it's not what you want, feeling lost, personal reasons.
If you have family, whoever and you get bad reaction from them for going here and you paid off the loans, debt. Please do not let that stop you to do something else. Please Do Not Give Up and someday end up regretting not doing something else. You may not regret it now and you may regret later in your life
As in go to Trade school or going to community college/university for something that you would want to study/will work in. You will need to figure out what it is you will want to go for.
There is FAFSA. If your not eligible that means to pay mostly. If it's loans it's only minimum of what you need and pay back , and to not become in debt through going to college/university/trade school. If you are in debt, a job and save the money, pay off the debt (avoid and prevent getting into more deeper debt).
Not what your family member or whoever it may be may have wanted you study/work in. Understandable needing a job and it's just not in the Pharmacy field.
It's possible to become certified Pharmacy Tech by taking the PTCB Exam, study and research the medicine, etc. There's internship (paid/not paid) to get experience.
Good luck to those who are on their journey to become Pharmacy Technician and everyone else and your...
Read moreI recently attended Fortis Institute of Wayne and apart from the incredible staff / instructors that I had the pleasure of being assisted / educated by; I was particularly blown away by the incredible support provided by not only the staff but most importantly the schools Career Services Department. Specifically Career Service Advisor Ms. B! Ms. B was & still to this very day is nothing short of an absolute blessing to not only my life but to the many other lives of the many of students / peers that she shares the pleasure of working beside. Not only has Ms. B been a blessing during my time at Fortis but still up until this very day she continues to help / support the forward growth of my career. & again not just my career / job search but overall just in life as well & not only my life but the many other lives of the many other students who share / shared a similar path to the one that I did during my time over at Fortis. I cannot thank her enough for all of her hard work and dedication. She has been extremely resourceful, providing me with a wealth of valuable information about job opportunities in my field and helping me to navigate the often overwhelming job market. What stands out to me the most about Ms. B and the Career Services Department over at Fortis is their genuine commitment to helping students achieve their career goals. They took the time to get to know me and my unique skills and interests, and worked tirelessly to connect me with employers that were a great match for my background and experience. Overall, I would highly recommend Fortis Institute of Wayne to anyone looking to jumpstart their career. Read moreAs a recent graduate of the EST(Electrical Systems Technician) program at Fortis, I can't speak for the other departments but I can whole hardily say that investing in yourself in the EST program is worth it. Well before my last day with the program I was already set up with job and now currently employed with a reputable hospital as installations technician. What really shines about the program is the instructors and their drive to give every student proper incite of what to expect when out on the field, there own experiences, and advice. They go above and beyond the curriculum that they have to follow in order for students have some more hands on experience which is extremely valuable to have when going to career services and/or personally applying to jobs as newbie. Instructors will never turn away anyone that needs extra assistance when trying to understand the lesson at hand. Another thing I respected about my instructors was that they were very transparent with every student and were honest when giving feedback, either that be positive and/or negative. If you see yourself as a individual that works hard and strives to gain knowledge in order to grow/progress in your life, the instructors at Fortis's EST program will set you up with the tools you need to succeed and progress in the field. I will be forever grateful to Ms.Jackie Lee, Mr.Keith Mott, Mr.Omar Holland, and Mr.Anthony T. I've grown a lot in my year with them and my classmates. The experience led me to learn so much along with having fun of learning something new and the jokes shared that would brighten up any day. I hope Fortis truly understands that what they have in EST is truly...
