The service time for this Cava location has always been very long. In the past we have ordered ahead and still had to wait almost an hour for the food to be ready when arriving to the location.
Recently I ordered for delivery via their app. Delivery time was actually shorter than I thought, however, it was the wrong order when it arrived. The app has a number to call and when I called it a man answered who had no idea why I was calling him so they have the wrong number listed. I called the Cava location and they acknowledged they did still have my food there but said they couldn’t do anything. I would have to pick it up, which I couldn’t do because I was home with my baby, hence why I ordered delivery. It’s just unbelievable that if they make a mistake with delivery or your order there is nothing to be done in the moment. I had to just email support for a refund and left my food at the location.
Despite this, I went a few days later to order food in person. A person a few spots in front of me ordered tzatziki and the server scooped it into their bowl and spilled a bunch in the hummus and on the scooper of the hummus. She then made no effort to clean it. My son has a dairy allergy and I’m nursing so I cannot have any dairy products. I had to tell them that they would have to replace that hummus. I received a look from her but another guy came over and understood and gave me a clean scoop from another area. They really need to be careful. They list their allergens which is nice and there’s always a risk for cross contamination but blatantly leaving a glob of dairy in a non-dairy item and continuing to serve...
Read moreThis location (Wayne) is hit or miss. I've had great experiences but as of lately not so great. Just recently went in after 8pm and I guess the team was outdone for the day. Service was super mediocore, as the preggo girl forced herself to assist me, I wanted to just tell her never mind and leave. Unfortunately I'm a struggling college student and I knew I could stretch my bowl into two servings so I dealt with her attitude. Well that wasn't the case at all, she fixed my bowl without a care in the world. I should've taken a picture to post but I talked myself out of it, in hopes that I'll make it work. Last night my suite mate ran out to the same location again in the evening and she had a very similar experience (same attendant). She expressed that she was irritated that she had to ask for more greens and toppings as her bowl was skimpy. She ordered a lenitil and Avocado bowl with barley any avocado. Whats unfortunate is , if you don't check your food for a take out order you can't be upset if you're not getting your $$ worth, the honor system isn't implemented here. On top of that, the store ran out of bags so she had to carry her purchase out the door. Depending on the mood of your server, determines the CAVA experience.
