Costco Wholesale — Local services in Wayne

This is one of the best designed Costcos around here. Huge parking lot, with easy parking. Huge and easy access shopping cart corral. Much larger walking space for shoppers getting into the store, larger main aisles and larger side aisles. Plus nothing blocking the cash register area, so the lines are much easier to manage compared with a traditional Costco where the cash register area is a mess filled with an extra row of food and snacks limiting and chocking the line of shoppers waiting to purchase to just 2 or 3 carts before the line has to bend in a huge mess.

The location itself is very convenient being next door to the Willowbrook mall, BJs and a movie theater.

Prices are awesome for almost everything. If something is not on sale, just be patient and come back again another day.

The only negatives I have pertain to all Costcos and not just this location: Negative 1 are the Pantene shampoo and conditioner bottles used to be $9 per bottle until Bidenflation hit and now overnight the price jumped for no reason.. both are now $14 per bottle.. same stuff inside, same volume/quantity, same quality but price is $5 higher. Not made of gold or precious metals. Just greed. Luckily Costco realized the mess of this mistake and now often drops the price to $9 on sale usually once per month since at the $14 price not many people are buying it.

Negative 2 is the Costco milk bottles. Years ago the bottles were identical to normal grocery store milk bottles. Then they redesigned the bottles to be a more square shape. The two problems with this new design are the safety seal and the pouring dynamics. The new safety seal is nearly impossible to remove without hurting yourself or using a knife or fork to stab it open and often I see these milk bottles with faulty seals that didn't totally seal or they sealed it in a way you can turn the cap all the way. Lots of defects and way worse than the traditional milk bottle seal. The pouring dynamics are also terrible. The new bottle shape makes it extremely difficult to pour the milk without spilling it all over the place. Really bad. Just bring back normal milk bottles please.

Negative 3 is the Kirkland brand bottled water in the 40 bottle case. These bottles used to be slightly thicker and slightly bigger caps which made the bottles stronger and caps would perfectly seal no problem. Then around a year ago some idiot at Kirkland redesigned the bottle to have less plastic to save Costco money, but rendering the bottles and water inside useless. If you drop the case by accident, more than likely a bunch of the bottles will pop open and spill everywhere due to the weak and very thin plastic and very thin caps that pop off if you barely touch them. And if you even carry 1 bottle it is likely the cap will pop off just holding it. Please bring back normal bottles and caps for this. In the mean time I buy Poland Spring water since they use normal thick water bottles with strong caps.

Negative 4 is Kirkland brand paper towels. Again in a stupid move to save money, Kirkland removed all the individual plastic wrap per roll of paper towels. So if you open the main seal holding all the rolls of paper towels, each roll can now easily get dirty from dust, spills, rain, snow, insects, dirt, falling on the floor, rolling in your car, falling on the ground outside.. there is now nothing to protect all the unused rolls. One of the most stupid ideas they ever had.. don't be fooled by them saying it is to save plastic. It is for them to save money and charge us full price while making all your unused paper towels in storage much easier to get dirty becoming useless and then forcing you to go back to Costco and buy more rolls sooner. So I buy Bounty towels instead since they are logical and still have individually wrapped rolls to protect your unused towel rolls that...
