STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! My fiancé and I and visited The Furniture & Mattress Gallery of Wayne in January of this year. We found a sectional by Jackson Catnapper that we liked and left the store to research the manufacturer and the store. Both companies had horrific reviews. We returned to the store and addressed the reviews with Jennifer and Jimmy. They assured as the reviews were written by over dramatic customers and surrounding competitors. With some hesitation, we moved forward with the purchase in early February. The purchase included a custom sleeper and warranty. Jennifer and Jimmy informed us our delivery window was 4-6 weeks.
We ran into the first bump in the road 3 weeks after the order was placed. After not hearing any updates from the store, my fiancé called to inquire about the status of the delivery. At this time, Jennifer informed us the manufacturer was out of fabric and this would delay the delivery. The second bump in the road came at week 6 when we should have already had the couch. The store claimed the custom sleeper was installed incorrectly and they would need to order new parts. At week 8 we still had no couch and the store had a new set of excuses. They committed to delivering on many dates/times but never showed up. At week 12 the couch finally delivered to our house and the sleeper did not function properly. The delivery attendant was pointed out the dysfunction before brining it into our home. He claimed Jennifer and Jimmy were aware of the issue but instructed him to deliver the couch anyway. He also shared that this is typical of the store to do. We refused the delivery at this time so the couch could yet again be fixed. At week 15 the couch returned to our home fixed of the original issue but now with cushions that did not fit properly. At week 18 the new cushions arrived. At each juncture arranging delivery was a nightmare. Jennifer and Jimmy could not commit to a date/time. They lied about their communication with one another and often blamed each other the delivery issues. They promised compensation for our trouble and absolutely horrendous experience. That was also a lie, they will not take any of our calls to discuss/issue proper compensation. They are thieves and we are working with a lawyer...
Read moreI had such a stressfull experience shopping at this store. We had originally purchased a couch from Raymore and Flanigan that when delivered was too big. After returning that couch and living on an air mattress in our living room for a week we stumbled upon this store and everyone there made us feel completely comfortable in purchasing a couch out of a catalog that we had never seen in person but they assured us it was excellent quality and would be delivered within a few DAYS .. especially because of our current circumstance. “This couch is in our local wharehouse and you should have it by Wednesday “. Meanwhile, it was Saturday. My husband an I were so burnt out already. We were already disappointed about what had happened with the original couch we bought that didn’t fit and we just wanted something so badly. Needless to say the couch never came Wednesday.. or Thursday.. or Sat of the next week. When they did come to deliver it, they brought the WRONG couch purposely to give as a replacement for their mistake. (I clearly refused that couch) My couch was in California at a warehouse and they totally bullshitted us just to get the sale. I actually called Furniture of America (the distribution center) and found out the facts about the location on my own because everyday when I would talk to Jimmy he would come up with some crazy story about why we didn’t have our couch that was promised 1.5 weeks previously. The whole thing was a nightmare honestly. We were promised a big credit for all of the trouble we had to deal with but they didn’t compensate us AT ALL!! Read moreMy Wife and I recently purchased Furniture from here and had a very unpleasant experience (still on going). Alexis was very nice and promised us that our furniture would be delivered on a certain day or 1 day later ( we were fine with that). on the 7th day from payment Our furniture except the living room sectional had been delivered. The delivery people were nice and assembled all the furniture. All of the furniture that was assembled had scuffs/Scratches on them including the Glass dining room table. We asked them to replace the furniture then they sent an inspector from their wearhouse he said that the marks were only superficial and only on the surface (Not sure what he ment, to me a scratch is a scratch). The mattress and baseboard both had holes in them. I told him that if I pay for new furniture I expect it to be New. He said he would come next day to repair the bedroom set and have the mattress and baseboard replaced so far he has not delivered on his promise. I was told today 5/13/2016 that they would not issue me a refund for the living room firniture and that it would take over a month to get them. I'm lost at what I should do next. I am about to call my Credit Card company and see what they can do for me.
