I wasn't going to leave a review but my experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I went in for botox as a first time client. I was receiving botox from another location with a physician previously but had to change providers for a multiple of reasons (mainly location was far). So I decided on Slate. I myself am a nurse practitioner and know we can provide good care. But I will say I was hesitant about seeing a nurse practitioner injector as I have heard horror stories. Anyway, I was receiving 22 units at my previous injector and expected to continue this. My injector at Slate did not take into account what I was requesting. Instead she upsold me more units, injecting 30 units, without really confirming I was okay with this. I got the impression that services are rendered as a one size fits all rather than tailored to the client's wishes. I wasn't expecting to pay for 30 units so I wasn't too happy at checkout.
Then, the new client price was not honored. Now it could have very well been a mistake of the front desk but at the same time I left Slate feeling scammed. I was treated as just a wallet, as if a number rather than a person. I didn't notice I was charged more for this initial visit than I was supposed to, so I called to rectify. The best the front desk could do was apply the 20% discount to the next botox service or use the difference in pay for a lesser service. No, I am unsure if I will return. Will I again be forced to pay for more units than I want to? Will another billing mistake occur?
On top of that, no follow up visit was scheduled. I was never asked if I wanted to book again. Follow up after a neurotoxin procedure is usually 2 weeks, but the injector did not mention this nor did the front desk ask at any time if I'd like to book a follow up.

I pre paid for Microneedling and had my appointment made for months ahead of time and I showed up today 20 minutes before my scheduled session with Sicri. All of a sudden Cici comes out and says “I’ll be numbing you and someone else will be doing your microneedling, Sicri left early today”. So I said , that sounds wrong , my appointment is specifically with Sicri I even requested her and have messaged her on Instagram and I have even confirmed this appointment. I go to the front desk and say this to Valerie and she asked if I received a phone call about the change and I said No . If anything I even have a text message and a email to prove they sent me everything was set and I even replies yes to confirm. I even told Valerie that this is unprofessional that Sicri would just leave for the day and not inform her client (me) about this. I had everything scheduled with my drop off and pick up and with my work schedule and child care . I asked for a refund immediately. Valerie offered to ask for a manager to perhaps change the date of the appointment but I said no thank you but appreciate her sentiment. I will not be returning . I was recommended here by Dolores Catania on opening day and had been a client and came to this location before at-least 3 times before this incident occurred . First she didn’t mention anything about what I need, what’s the best treatment I should be receiving and how many sessions I may need, she just told me the prices, she didn’t check the hair strength or the type of hair I have to conclude the sessions needed. She just started by saying that what type of package they have and their prices. I DON’T THINK THIS IS. CONULTATION I BELIVE THIS IS JUST A SALE.
