After leaving a meeting late one recent evening, my wife and I were hungry. We decided that we wanted Pizza. But I couldn't think of a place that might be open past 9 p.m. As we drove, I spotted BUONGUSTO! The lights were on, the neon sign read open, and there were people inside! We headed over and sure enough they were still open and serving. When we entered we were greeted, enthusiastically, by one of the counter guys. He offered us a table and we sat. The decor is modern yet classic. The large dining area is well-lit by very nice hanging light fixtures. The chairs are very comfortable and the tableware gives the feeling of a much more expensive restaurant. There are several large flat screen TVs on the walls to entertain those that might be dining alone. All of the screens are muted which makes conversation for groups comfortable. The selection of pizzas was stunning and all looked delicious. I went with an old favorite, buffalo chicken. The slice did not disappoint! It was a satisfying size, had a medium thick crust that was cooked well enough to support itself when folded & had chicken in every last bite. Not to mention that the flavor was on target. It had just the right balance of cheese & sauce that did not overwhelm. When my wife looked at the menu she changed her mind about pizza. She went with an antipasto salad. The salad was large, fresh and contained every ingredient that are real antipasto salad should have in it. The stars on the plate where the fresh mozzarella and roasted peppers. We were definitely satisfied and know that we will return to this new eatery to try other items on their menu. We highly...
Read moreI came in on a Sunday evening 6/4/23 to order a pizza pie to go and paid for it right away. I then ordered garlic knots and paid for it right away as well while waiting for the pizza and was charged by the owner who also told me that I have to pay for the pie that I ordered. I told him I already paid but he did not believe me. Instead he made me feel like a thief. The girl who worked at the counter also confirmed that I paid for the pizza pie but the owner said that the transaction did not go through with a lot of attitude which was strange because if it was declined the girl who took my order would have told me right away.
So I had to pay for the pizza gain which I did. After I left the place I decided to check my bank and I noticed that I got charged $18 for the pizza pie twice. My wife finally went back to the store to let them know and instead of giving us a refund he wanted to give us another pie. My wife finally got the refund after getting a lot of attitude and rudeness. Obviously they accused us of not paying for the pizza pie and never check whether the transaction went though.
When I came in there I saw no customers. Now I know why.
By the way the pizza pie was very mediocre and pretty...
Read moreI have been going to this restaurant and ordering in for over 5 years! It used to be one of my favorite places! The pizza was never that great but the entrees were delicious! Service was incredible! Even during the pandemic shut down, we could count on this place for great delivery and tasteful food! 5 stars across the board! 10 if it was allowed.
I don’t know what happened! My last 2 visits were horrible. The service was practically nonexistent. The food quality changed and wasn’t that good. The only item that didn’t change was the Penne Vodka. Usually they give you bread with these delicious garlic knots. We had to ask for them and it took a good 15 minutes to receive them. They were tasty better than the ones we ordered. We ordered as an appetizer the garlic knots and they were horrible. Burnt and took quite some time to come out as well.
They even changed some of the recipes to the entrees. Especially the sauces and it wasn’t for the better.
I believe it’s under new owners or some sort of changes have been made and unfortunately, it’s just not good. Sadly I will not be returning or ordering from here anymore.
Such a bummer when a good...
