Starbucks is usually my Go-To place for coffee, merchandise, and awesome personalized customer service. However, this location has been consistently rude, always changing their hours, and blatantly lying to customers. While waiting for them to open, which on their handwritten sign said 8am, I was greeted at the door by a man who said no we’re not open until 8:30am, in a very rushed and confrontational manner. As an avid Starbucks collector, I am a huge fan of their seasonal merchandise. While waiting another 30 minutes for them to open, my significant other and I saw employees take merchandise from the shelves and into the back room. When they finally opened their doors, I asked about a specific cup I saw that they had in their hands prior to opening. They proceeded to tell me that they didn’t know what I was talking about and what’s on the shelves is what they have. One of the employees in the back rudely said, “what is the deal with these freakin cups” in a rude and unfriendly manner. Disgusted, and taken back, we left to go to a better Starbucks location who offers amazing customer service (shoutout to the Starbs on Route 23 near Michael’s). Needless to say, even though we live closer to this location, we will not be...
Read moreThe entire reason behind this TERRIBLE review is due to an OFF THE CLOCK employee. As I am sitting in Starbucks (8:30ish on wednesday evening) trying to study an employee who is clearly off the clock is sitting here SCREAMING as he's "having a discussion" with on the clock employees. He is making it VERY obvious that he works here. The conversations include many f-bombs, cursing off customers, and "chilling" with girls. The employee made it very clear that he worked here as he proceeded to scream how he was going to walk into the back to chat with an on the clock employee etc. While I respect that everyone has the right to say what they want and hang out where they please, the level of disrespect to everyone else in this Starbucks is appalling. The off the clock employee is making a bad name for this Starbucks. If it weren't already so late I would pack up my things and move to another location, but unfortunately for me this is the only place close enough to TRY and get some homework done. This particular employee should understand that whether you are on the clock or off, you are representing the establishment. It's a shame that one person can ruin an experience at a place that I come to often to...
Read moreNot all Starbucks are made equal - some are better than others. This Starbucks drive-thru location (Route 23 South) in particular, is one of the best.
The baristas and staff members are ALWAYS pleasant, thoughtful, friendly, and let me tell you - these are some HARD workers.
I've never seen a staff member sitting down, playing on their phone, or avoiding work in any way. It's quite fascinating to see so many individuals working so diligently while maintaining such great rhythm with one another.
The fact that they remember the names of their customers impresses the heck out of me.
The guy/gal who was in charge of hiring for this location did a great job. I look forward to stopping in to grab my morning coffee here - and almost always walk out the door with a smile on my face thanks to the awesome group of people working behind the counter.
And just an FYI for those who don't like to wait in the drive-thru lane (I don't blame you - I avoid that line whenever possible) Do yourselves a favor and download the app and order ahead! It's a no-brainer!
Keep up the great...
