This store used to be nice and friendly. But since Christmas time it’s taken a turn. I’m in this store seasonally almost daily and sometimes twice for clients.. searching for specific things they want for their theme Rental homes. Over the past 2 wks I asked a question 2x normally what’s there is there and I take it as it is. But with gas prices and their prices jumping up it may save me a trip. I asked about an item if it was out of the box on the carts in the back and they said no we don’t know what is in the boxes. No kidding but you have 6 carts of stuff out of boxes… nope won’t ask won’t check.. then why ask at the register if you found everything you were looking for? ok so they don’t comprehend.. I gotta go back in again. Friday I go in 2x one of the employees rolled their eyes at me… then same employee again Saturday… the employee at the register some days is jek and hyde … even after I always super nice about her charging me 2 x for something … when I brought it back accused me of having two of the items and I nicely said I’ll wait while you check yesterday’s cameras.. they argued more took a customer…then refunded it finally. Same employee last week I asked if someone could check the open stuff in the back she was so busy on their phone that they said Again we don’t know what’s in the boxes… Again that’s not what I asked… but rushed out even though I was the only person there. Today employee when I asked if she had seen something shrugged her shoulders and pretended she didn’t understand me .. hmmm seem to have no problem communicating with their co workers every time I see you. So I go from central Jersey hitting all the stores and none of them ever have this issue . Mount olive store goes above and beyond. Over them! I guess we’re asking to much here I mean for me it saves me time but for them it’s the difference between them earning 0$ or actual $ right? we spend thousands of $ in homegoods a season , I know they don’t know that when you walk in there but they should treat everyone with...
Read moreI am so disappointed in this store, the manager and an associate who I will not name on a social site, I came across on the day I was shopping there were beyond rude borderline racist! The manager and the associate insinuated I had switch prices on an item, with a price difference of about $6 (never would I risk losing my job over $6) the manager honored the price that was on the item, however, he was not happy about it and told the associate to just give it to me he doesn't want to deal with me. She took the price tag off the item wrote something on the bottom of it and was just rude, I'm african american and she was not just rude but NASTY as was the manager, the god thing that came out of it was I called the union store and the manager there marisa made it right. I had to call that store because the manager at gillette refused to give me his name, the only reason I knew the associates name is because she helped me one other time buy a mirror and I heard someone else say her name in the store. Moral to the story is spend your money where it's appreciated, My feelings were beyond hurt and I was humiliated in front of other associates and other customers! it did't feel nice! The General Manager whom I spoke to was also VERY nice and assured me that he would speak to his employees, I hope and pray that he does so that it doesn't happen to someone else! they made a whole production over $6 and treated me horrible not worth anything...
Read moreI bought a dining room table. When I tried to pick it up within the 48hr timeframe the manager totally ruined this large purchase for the store! He told the cashier, while I was standing 2 feet from him, “she’s going to have to come back because I can’t take this to her car.” When he finally acknowledged my presence he demanded to know what vehicle I was using. When I pointed to my van he said, “you’re going to get a table in that!?” Without knowing my van turns into a cargo van with the help of stow-n-go. Then he took a paper measuring tape and walked away without saying anything to me about what he was going to do. The cashier immediately started apologizing (she knew his behavior was disrespectful, embarrassing and uncalled for). I told her I was leaving because of the obvious disrespect. When I returned the next day I requested my money back. When the cashier requested his signature he immediately signed without question because he knew he was wrong. Never once did he apologize or acknowledge his behavior the previous day. Obviously this store doesn’t like large purchases so...
