I went to picked up my catering order from the Olive Garden location. I arrived, pulled in spot 1, called number and was told someone will bring it right out. Sounds good. Ten minutes passed. I'm pressed because my event is starting at 4 and I didn't want to be late. So as I arrived, I have also received the text saying my order was ready for pick up. Because I ordered it for 3. So I'm sitting, nothing. I go to hop in ( I have a brace on my ankle) I get in and there is 6 staff members who are behind the counter. So as I approach the 3 of the 6, one being the manager (Alissa) have now gone bye bye. There were 4 staff members in the bar area and 2 coming from the right. An abundance amount of staff. I immediately asked for the manager. She comes out with a cropped top sweater on. Not appropriate for a manager but, not my store so if your fine with it I am too. I asked, " can you please tell me why I had to hop in here to get my order"? You have more than enough hands to have brought out ago 10 minutes ago. Now they are trying to make excuses, well we don't know who took the call. The young lady who appeared to be new. Acknowledges she took the call and made mention to whomever to bring out. I wouldn't be writing the review if that was the case, that someone brought it out. No one brought it out. Now she is apologetic. She offers to take care of it. I say do you need me to sign because I already paid plus tipped. She says no. I grab my order and hop back to my car, parked in space 1. So I arrived with the food for our annual get together. I pull out this salad and now I am even more annoyed. This bowl, which I have ordered plenty of times, was not to Olive Garden salad standards. I asked for extra tomatoes, literally was 5, 2 olives and 3whole onions. Onions and lettuce were the stars of this salad. They also gave us 4 packs of parmesan cheese. And a cup of mints. They gave us more mints then the cheese. What happened to say when? It went.
Part 2 I called in today and Floyed ( manager) answers and as I start to speak he is talking to everyone around him. I asked, would you like for me to call back, because lack of attention to the call was not there. He in so many words was not there that he was Floyd and what would I like for him to do. I told him that I was telling him about my experiences and that who do I need contact to share my experience with. He then says what do you want for him to do? If i eat the steak, im going to pay for it. But if you mess it up, make it right. Thats good customer service. Really wasn't looking for anything. I am a customer service person, honestly for the most people are really looking for is a sincere apology. Acknowledgment of fault.
The service was awful and I would have let some of it pass, if that salad was presented better. It wasn't and I thought you should know.
Also this salad is one option choice of food for my vegan...

You get thru dinner, you are just finishing your second dip, waiter says anything else and you ask to try the third dip and a little more bread. He brings salad, and you have more, then the bread comes but no dip. You are honest and say "I think we're full, can you put the dip that's coming in a container to go along with our salad and bread?" We get containers for the salad and bread and ask where's the dip? He replied sorry and runs off. Then comes back with a cup with a cover that is no bigger then a half cup measuring cup. I ask ...what's this? He explains that it looks small but it actually has the same amount of dip that the empty dip bowl has in front of you. I laughed, then said how stupid do you think I am. He replied with ...no really it holds more than you think. So stupid me opens the container and pours the contents in the bowl. And the waiter says " wow" and just stands there. It did not even cover the flat bottom of the bowl. I ask to please go get what I paid for. It takes a while, and he shows up with a container three times the size but only one third full. We did not realize this until I got to the car. I went back in with my 3/4 empty container and asked for the manager. She says we don't give dips to go. I explained we did not get the third dip, she says that doesn't matter, it's unlimited and you don't have to try all three but, you can't get it to go. So I gave her the cup back and said she must need this ounce that I paid for more than me. And then said I'll tell this story till I die and she'll never see me or any of my family again. What an idiot. The two of us spent close to $100.00 including drinks.
So, if you want something to go at Olive Garden, order it, stick a breadstick in it, and then you can get it to go. Don't be honest!
I've been working in Retail since the late 70's and this has to be one of the worst cases of customer service I've ever seen. And I know there are people who might try and take advantage, but give me a break... a few ounces of dip that I paid...
