Very disappointed in this business I've used for years. The people I hired to repaint my deck, who happen to be Hispanic, tried to get a pint of a paint I had gotten there before. They took the empty pint container with all the dentifying information with them. They came back and told me they had to wait quite a while to be helped.....there were no other customers in the store. The staff kept going from the front to the back and finally acknowledged them. They were told they could not purchase a pint....only a gallon. We only need a pint to complete the job. When I originally purchased the paint, I had to get pints as they did not have gallons. I went there myself. I was told they were out of the pint size and I would need to purchase a gallon. I asked if they could discount the gallon and was told no. So, I asked if they could get the product from another store. They told me the closest was Asheville......I asked could they get it to the Waynesville store. NO!!! So, I had to purchase a gallon at quite a price difference. I am the president of a Waynesville neighborhood HOA and all the homes are painted in a coordinated color palet from Sherwin Williams. I will get color matching for the paint colors from Home Depot and never use this business again. This is unacceptable on so many...
Read moreFirst of all, let me say that Sherwin Williams' products are the most premium and readily available products on the market. That being said, things at this store in recent weeks/months has turn cold at best. Recently cooperate let go of their manager and assistant manager at this location, along with one employee, and another deciding to leave on their own. This place has been poorly managed for over a year now with what I assumed were DEI highers as the general employees had more knowledge than the leadership. I recall before things went totally south, that the (former) manager one day suggested I lie to a new employee, in which I refused... after that, I was treated like a mangy mutt... I am a painter with over 20 years experience and have never been treated so poorly. I hope Sherwin Williams learns from their mistakes, otherwise I may find comparable products elsewhere. For those shopping here, I hope your customer experience will be better, as if I couldn't be since the whole shop turned over in a week... Sincerely, Your local...
Read moreVery poor customer service experience. (We were the only customers in the store the whole time we were there) Unattentiveness and avoidance from both employees. Steered towards supply products that didn’t compliment each other. Neither employee could answer specific technical questions regarding paint tints, lighting, color matching or general paint options other than pointing to sample displays and saying “It’s all just a matter of what people like.” Both employees took every opportunity to sneak back into office to sit and talk. Had to ask several times for assistance. They had the paint I picked out and got it mixed and ready quickly. That’s the only reason for a second star. SW paint is great and I’ve bought tons of it but this was my first and last trip to the Waynesville store. I’ll go to either of the Asheville locations. They’re usually slammed but I’m happy to wait for knowledgeable and...
